Thank you for the kind words. Have a look at my other videos - a couple of them feature daylight takeoffs. Yes the takeoff from Jamaica is spectacular. The takeoff is almost always to the East - I would love to catch a westerly takeoff but this is extremely rare.
@smoshjkl - Thank you. Luckily for me the flight took off before it became really dark. Had it left 15 minutes later I would not have bothered filming due to the darkness outside and the reflections in the windows from the cabin lights. I like the deep blue of Kingston Harbour at dusk. I'm already looking forward to my next trip.
bank angle, bank angle, bank angle British Airways normally uses RR Trent engines on their 777-200 series planes, nice to see the proper GE engines on there 😁
LOL! Congrats on being the first to spot this - I'm surprised no one picked up on this until now. Yes he did say London Heathrow - I was rather bemused. Thanks for the comment - appreciated.
Captain Tony Musson (?) certainly suffers from chronic verbal diarrhoea - and it sounds to me as though he says the distance to London Gatwick is 31 nautical miles.....
Great footage - looks beautiful taking off from Jamaica. Love the noise as the engines wind up for take up :)
Thanks for uploading.
