The temple Flagpole originated in dravidian temple architecture and was probably used for the first time in North Indian temple. According to Tamil Saivaism that the flagpole of the temple is like the backbone of our body. There are 32 bony rings in our spinal column. Similarly, the temple flagpole is erected with 32 rings.
Doesn't matter Current Tamils don't even have 10% of skill what their ancestors did. Atleast current North Indians have better skills at building Temples than Tamils.
