would love to see some improvements to his damage, or giving him a dedicated main damage path. The power fantasy of a frontline holy warrior smiting the wicked doesn’t seem to be fulfilled
Tweaking his Aggressor path for that would be nice. I don't find execute 1 all that useful when the dot that allows it also gets rid of the DBR token anyways. Wanderer can do damage but he needs to eat up combo tokens :/ he is shining more as a tank/support right now.
@@thorinhannahs4614 if Aggressor path's Smite got 100% damage on combo or on burning targets intead of the execute might make a sole dmg build viable. Give Holy Lance some high dmg or crit and now we talking
@@silverbolt6699 Holy Lance is already his most powerful move. I'd be okay with 25% or 50% increased damage on burning targets using smite but that pushes out Radiance with mastery which to be fair is a slow button.
@@thorinhannahs4614 Smite already gets 50% extra damage on combo'ed targets on Wander and Banneret... And the damage is still too low. Radiance AND combo AND a a burning target... just to get 80% (30+50%) would be more set up than any other nuke and still half as much damage. Also, you can't use Lance and Smite in same slot, so Aggressor would be forced to be a mid file dancer to use him at his highest potential. That damage increase wouldn't be outlandish considering the confinements for just one viable damage path
I genuinely believe he should be able to buff himself and another teammate with fire damage on agressor path. I dont understand how setting your sword on fire isnt a thing. With Agressor if they ever do a rework i hope they lean HARD into the fire aspect of it.
My only problem with Banneret is that he can't use Bulwark and Accusation in the same rank, and those are prolly his best two buttons. I actually prefer Templar since he can tank, support and DoT up front and has the best Tenacity when it's time to fight the baby.
Dude crusader is such a cool character. I had a lot of fun running Aggressor Crusader + Orphan Runnaway, I melt the frontline when I open with firestarter + zealous.
I was awaiting this type of kind and also the duelist One thank you!!! Also are you interested in doing a guide for the new achievements for binding blade? I think that could be fun and there are a couple of hidden achievements that I would be interested in knowing how to do!
Backrank Runaway can set up aggressor very well. She can use smokescreen to help set up stuns and set up burns for his execute. Aggressor ends fights fast not with massive dps but with execute two. Templar is a great off-tank for an already beefy team. If you have a Leper or a Hellion he can help peel pressure off at time and keep them rolling. All that said Banneret does a really, really good job of everything. Even front rank Banneret works really effectively to deal damage and support allies. In fact I much prefer a front rank Banneret. Sometimes i start in 3 moving up with lance or just stick him in 1 from the go.
I have been messing with Arsonist Bonnie and Aggressor Reynauld. Bonnie in back and Reynauld up front. I think I might put both up front or switch out PD for JES so I can pop Radiance or Firestarter and not lose so much action economy. Wanderer and Banneret seem to be the best paths currently.
@thorinhannahs4614 Wanderer and Banneret are the very good paths, but it's not necessarily because Templar and Aggressor are weak. It's just the other two don't really lose out on anything. Wanderer is obviously the baseline, so it's just generally good since Crusader is on the new path system. Banneret doesn't lose much and gains some pretty good changes. Having tenacity give block is really good, and the upgraded version removes stun which is a life saver. Aggressor and Templar change things up, but the changes are less desirable. The other paths can lay more deeps than Aggressor because of the combo change on smite which is why it doesn't feel like it does as much damage. The execute 2 on it is wonderful for what it does, but it's a slow build up to it. Apart from Templar having a guard, there's really no reason to consider it as a tank path. I've have more success putting Banneret up front and using bulwark of faith as a pseudo tank. It's just a symptom of Reynauld just being a very good character period. Even his "worst" path is still very good in my opinion.
@@Helldragon789 I want to like Templar and Aggressor the same way I want to like Chaplain and Confessor, it just isn't there but not as bad. If a rework of Runaway is in the works I'd hold off changing Aggressor as it could be a pseudo buff.
Sharpshooter PBS + Wanderer's Smite = Rank 1 deleted. Pair with a Virtuoso Jester and a Alchemist PD and you get yourself a solid party that can reliably take on any enemy in the game (except maybe the lung boss, the comp struggles a little to output big rank 4 damage if the enemy is immune to DOTs) Round 1 Jester encores HWM HWM either uses Take Aim + PBS or PBS into Grapeshot straight away. Crusader Smites the combo'd target PD DOTs the backline Round 2 HWM Grapeshot or Pistol Shot Crusader Taunts to get some heat out of the backline or Smites a target in range PD DOTs the backline again or clear corpses with Magnesium rain Jester uses fade to black on a difficult foe or Battle Ballad Dismas into another PBS I'm in love with this party, only got into some trouble with the Lungs and the Focused Fault (but my RNG on that fight was downright awful)
@@user-fv7jd4xj5n My only recommendation is using banneret instead of Wanderer on Crusader, Banneret is basically Wanderer+, you lose very little and can now heal from any position. Did a Grandslam with that team, and man...it's just awesome!
It's sad really. I also found out after quite a few hours of testing that all his paths aside from banneret are useless. Generally even when I feel like running him as a front liner, i take banneret just in case i get shuffled to the backline and wanna heal somebody instead of immediately holy lancing to the front. A honest disappointment, i hope he gets some adjustments for a proper tank path, and a recent main dps path with sword skills being enhanced. Edit: hmm I tried to force the issue some more with templar, and even though aggressor is actually useless, templar has its place with pretty amazing tank capabilities due to his block generation and heal % buffs, albeit with suboptimal taunt generation, but that combos well with riposte heroes who wanna be hit, so Templar passes. Agressor however really is completely and utterly useless, but seeing as half the heroes seem to have at least one useless path, i don't mind it quite as much, Its just a shame that Reynaud's bad path is his supposed dps one.
Am I the only one who noticed a power creep in favour of the player? The game seems far easier than EA and the areas haven`t been tuned up to make for it and even light/loathing feels like a non-issue. Unless you are playing with a harder torch the game is always certain that you`ll atleast reach the mountain if you get the necessary masteries up.
4:12 Crussader its a mini-tank hero, the reason why he heals its in order to keep tanking. Like MaA.
