Visualizing yourself playing actually works. When I go out with my dog I see my past or future self playing and it really helps when I get into the court. When I go to sleep I usually relax myself thinking about tactics and stuff. This is how I improved so much. I started playing padel 5 years ago. I only payed for lessons for 6 months once a week. Now I'm a padel teacher since 2021. I wanted it badly and finally got it.

Great video, 20 minutes watching and I hardly spend 4mins on most "tactical" videos. Every tip was of use, looking forward to take advantage of them.

Thank you! Some useful advices that I need to start implementing. When you do a review about Tactical Padel rackets, could you please point out the difference between El Toro 1.0 and 2.0?

About cheaters... I usually give the benefits of the doubt for the first one or two occurrences.. as I know that people make mistakes and I myself have at times seen out a ball that was rather clearly in.. Besides usually honest people will agree on a replay.
The worst cheaters won' t actually cheat often but keep that for very important points...
A few points I would like to see discussed:
    1) At times during matches I have "void moments" where I play really bad for a few consecutive points. This can last from 3 points to a couple of games or even more in a very bad day.. but most often than not I recover , but then it might be too late.. Any idea about why this happens, how to avoid it or minimise the consequences?
    2) The less I care the better I perform. I think this happens pretty much to everybody.. the more you care, the more important is the match, the more nervous and less confident one is..
The classic example of that is how well you usually do a return on a "out" ball, when you do a shot that has no consequences..that does not count, and then a miss or a much worse shot on an almost equal ball that was in..
How can one correct that, and be very focused but at the same time not care so much that you get paralyzed?
    3) This is quite personal, as I know many people who do not have this problem.. but I get really distracted and annoyed if there are people talking near the court when I play. I completely lose focus. Any advice on how to stay super focused on the ball and game but at the same time not being alert and attentive to what happens just outside of the box?
    4) I am convinced that showing negative emotions and reactions on the court is a bad idea, as for showing positive emotions and the "Vamos" on a great shot or an important point I have mixed feelings.. on the one hand I think it can make you feel better and so perform better, on the other I think that true emotional stability should not have neither lows nor highs.. because if you let the highs and positive manifest themselves it is harder to avoid the lows and negatives... what is your idea on this.. should one only try to show positive emotions or just be an iceberg?

So that it took so long to answer your comment, I really wanted to answer correctly with the same effort you put into your comment :)
4: I think you should be neutral or positive. If I am not playing amazing I tend to celebrate more to get myself back into the game, and to show the opponent its not over yet.
3: Many people have this problem, but it should not be. Every time you hear people talking around the court that would be a great exercise for you. Try to play at the busy clubs so you can learn to focus on the game. Remind yourself of your gameplan every single point.
2: Agree, The less you care about failing will make you perform better. Proces is more important than results.
1: You tend to highlight the negative in your story, how is this when you are playing well? If you visualize the negative the negative will come. You need to slow down the game, take a lot of time in between points and get back a positive visualisation. If you play well.. Take less breaks. If you play really bad, go to the changing room and change t shirt, splash water over your face. You are allowed to leave the court when you lost the set for instance. Just go to the bedroom, take a piss. Look at yourself in the mirror and say VAMOOOOOOOOOS HOMBRE

Sometimes people don´t cheat. They just think the ball was out. Anyhow. What is your opinion about the lob. Slice or not? In the corner or in the middle? Aim for service line or deeper? High or low? Thanks for skitbra videos😉

First of all, thank you Sven for awesome content. However, I was hoping you could give us some more tips on how to remain calm DURING a match. Most of these instructions were more for when you're off the court. I have struggled very much with controlling my temper during friendly matches and it has made me embarrased more than I care to admit. Any advice on how to relax and reset the nerves in between or even during sets? Cheers, keep it up!

Thank you. Well these things I do during the match. The most important thing is to wait longer after you lost the point or feel bad. And to play faster when you are winning.

I prefer to be an emotional player with each point. If I made a mistake, silly or not, I let it all out then look away from the net, walk slowly to my next point position and reset. The only downside is that I always have to tell my partner that I will vocalize a mistake, but next point I'm all in, I'm not disturbed and I only vocalize everything to let it all out. I always reset every point and give my partner some confidence about the next point. I consider myself more of a supporter than a leader, but I end up being the leader because I'm always analyzing the opponent and give tips to my partner and I'm always listening to their input as well. Is it a communication sport, so the more we talk, the better we can play.
Keep it up! your content is great!

Thank you! What you are saying makes sense. But you could experiment with some of the other examples. Just to see how you play if you do that.
Your ability to do a full reset sounds amazing
