    This is exactly what I am looking for with a weak backhand volley; really good information and I appreciate the effort, but it's a bit verbose and kind of disorganized. I find it hard to rewatch as I do with other videos. So...
    Perhaps other viewers are like me and are better with what to DO rather than what not to do. I've summarized the video here as best as possible. I swapped points 5 and 6 so 1-5 are all about the preparation to ball-contact.
    Fact: The backhand volley may be the most important and played shot in padel; as your level increases, players (yourself included) will target the opponent's body regularly where this shot is required.
    1. Ensure the proper grip - continental grip. "Forehand" grip is inefficient. (1:10)
    2. Body rotation - rotate shoulders counter-clockwise. Back shoulder should face back glass. Gives you more time to play the ball, more control. (2:51)
    3. Left hand inclusion - brace racket with left hand from ready-position up until you've fully rotated properly then... (3:36)
    4. "Explode" your hands apart, emphasize chest opening, and... (4:12)
    5. Be patient, hitting the ball later rather than early allowing you to have more follow-through and thus accuracy/control. The rotation from #2 is what should allow for this. (5:39)
    6. No scooping the ball, do not create an upward trajectory of the ball. (4:52)
    7. "Push" the volley, don't "hit" it. (6:20) [not sure I understand this one]
    8. Adjust your racket head appropriately for the shot, there is more than 1 swing. (7:35) See types of shots below.
    9. Play high balls to corners - incoming high ball, play it soft to the corner or fence for a difficult bounce. (9:48)
    Extra - Continental grip only requires one hand, two hands needed for less efficient grip.
    Types of shots:
    -Deep into the corner = racket head is open and outward angled (towards the side fence).
    -Short corner = racket head is less open (but still open) and more vertical (towards court lights).
    -Playing from left courtside to opposite fence, padel is head-height to allow you to bring the ball down.
    -Play the ball to the corner, racket is shoulder-height and open.
    -Play to the middle, even more open racket head and less power (depends on shot).
    Notes to Sven/scriptwriter/video editor: I am of the opinion it's better to focus on what to DO rather than "Don't do this!"
    Aim for 5-7 minutes overall, more concise. Perhaps have a compiling list of the focus points accumulating on the side as you focus on them. Camerman stop moving the camera - set your framing and leave it. Cut out the bloopers, maybe keep a few at the end if you're trying to inject humor.
    Thanks for the good info and hope this is seen as constructive, I really appreciate the content and like a lot of your other videos.

    Hi Sven, I just discover last day your master class about playing Padel, and playing very well, with good sensations. I will stay tuned, because the way you have to teach it is very particular and singular. I play padel a lot and from beginings ealy at '88, with wood rackets. Cheers from Rosario, Argentina. Vamos!

    Really nice video again Sven! I'm struggling sometimes with the switch to my backhand grip when I receive a fast ball from the player in front of me (not cross court). I feel like I don't have enough time to switch grip to hit the ball correct. Any tips?

      You should have time, on a ball that you can smash. So you have to decide earlier

    Hi Sven, quick questions: you moved from WHIP Poly to M27 Control. Why you did it? which are pros and cons of the choice? any quick comparison from M27 and the Whip Hybrid I bought and I'm waiting for?

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  Год назад +1

      The m27 control has more power for me that I need for the kicksmash

    Goede duidelijke video! Even een off-topic vraag: Sven ben jij bekend met een een gripfixer? Ooit wel eens geprobeerd. Ben je er een voorstander van? Hoor t graag.

      Thanks Marc! Nog nooit echt geprobeerd. Maar ik denk wel dat je, je kan helpen. Ik tekende vaak een lijntje op mijn grip en op het stuk tussen mijn duim en wijsvinger

    Are you saying change grip for each shot or always have continental? I've been taught by different coaches from Spain and Argentina and it's always the 'hammer' grip for everything

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  Год назад

      Well.. that personal preference. But you can play every single shot when using the continental grip

    Hi Sven, so I just realised tip number 6 is actually contradictory to the earlier tip of moving your left hand backwards. I noticed how your left hand stayed quite in place. Is this because you're playing diagonal and soft?

    • @OtroNivelPadel
      @OtroNivelPadel  Год назад +1

      It depends on the angle. The harder you hit, and the longer. The more your left hand should go backwards
