Lately I've been using my Bastia to keep folded tissues in rather than carrying the unattractive plastic wrapped tissues the always wind up opened and then you have to waste the top one because the wrapper opened. It looks rather unsightly and I throw it out to get to the next one. The Bastia prevents this from happening now :)
I have a Bastia in Ostrich leather in Bleuet colour. The Calvi duo is very useful but the inside flap takes up space. You can't put the same amount of coins and cards as you would do in a separate Calvi and Bastia. I put only one piece of £10 banknote, folded and couldn't put my regular amount of cards from my Calvi. Still useful but with smaller capacity.
I'm really enjoying my small Calvi/Bastia collection. I have one Calvi in Chevre Mysore that I use daily for extra cards - what are your thoughts on how goatskin holds up over time? And then I have two Bastias that i only bought because i wanted to try out the leather: one in Box calfskin, and one in Barenia Faubourg. Haven't used those yet...I just like to touch and admire them because I'm not ready for the "brand new" to wear off. 😁

The Calvi is amazing. I personally would use it more, as I like you rarely use cash/coins. I feel it would be an amazing SLG to start my Hermes journey. I also LOVE the new Calvi duo they are doing too. 😁😄🤩

Bastias hold my old ear phones or small things and the Calvi every day for credit cards! Also Calvis hold spare masks easily! I love the soft leathers but you're right that Epsom is sturdy! I love having different colors. The snap closures are solid and have never failed me😀
I have the Bastia coin purse and want to add the Calvi card holder this year but they are all sold out. Now seeing the new one may be I can wait for it. 😁😁😁
