That's why I love that the Filofax inserts work for me! Nothing fancy - just a pen, a highlighter and I'm good to go.

Your work weekly would be perfect for me to use for our homeschool weekly planning. So funny, I just moved from my pocket and a6 into my Filofax personal rings 😂 My autism special focus since I was 6 is planners and journals. My first planner was a personal rings when I was 8. I got it with ALL my field trip money in the gift shop 😂😂😂
I think I’ll still use my hobonichi a6 for daily planning but not sure yet. LOVE how your “bonus” journal half page tuned out! Just love this whole setup. ❤

I remember when you showed us your original Filofax. Love how you are so happy now in your original planning style. I can hear how excited you are. I can't wait till all those inserts are added to your shop.
I've gone back to my origin planner for the rest of the year and 2024 too. I was also left unsupervised! lol I started out in Franklin Covey compact 30 years ago. For the past 10 years I have been in pure planner chaos because I found (and pretty much bought) all the things. I just moved and have decided that I am selling the majority of my planners except for my absolute favorites and the ones that I would end up kicking myself for doing such a crazy thing. I'm still trying to come up with a contained number.
As far as the Franklin Planner storage binders, the really aren't that difficult to flip through, but it is challenging if it isn't full. I do recommend the sleeves for them too because it just helps them to sit properly on the shelf. The FC pocket size is more of an A6 slim and has the same ring spacing as the A6 rings.
I never really gave rings much thought until this recent resurgence & hearing that you love it makes ME want to try it + love it, too!! so excited to see what you create in 2024 :o)
I found myself moving to a more bullet journal without even realizing and I was wondering how to do it but in rings since I cannot function in a bound book. This video was perfect. I was using a 2-3 book system but found that my work planner was pretty useless and my journal wasn’t really touched most days. Now that everything is in one like you said I am able to keep up with everything. It does feel amazing. I love this. Thank you for posting. There aren’t a lot of all in one videos on RUclips.

I’m so glad to see rings coming back. I’ve tried embracing bound books to 2023 and it’s been a total fail.

Your insert designs and general look of planner pages reminds me a lot of Megan Rhiannon (on youtube) design.

I have been in ring planners since the 80s. Until this year. Now I am in a Hobonichi A6 English and loving it!
I ordered a personal rings for Xmas and your flip thru here has been so much more helpful than a lot of other vids out there

I used Franklin Covey planners for years and I was SO excited when they came out w/their forage binders. They hold a lot and are very easy to use. I think you’ll like them!

Thank you for a great informative video. I have just come across this after going back into my Filofax original in the fluro pink standard after using traveller notebooks for years and like you I’m loving it. You’ve given me so many new ideas too 🤩
Started in rings in the mid 80s with a PMS A5. I still use that same binder almost on a daily basis but it's a reference binder as it's getting a little tired! Only really started planning for real again about 5 years ago, and now use an A5 and a Personal side by side. I tried a year in a Leuchtturm A5 and absolutely loved it, but felt guilty about my rings covers not being used so dusted them off again.
I am loving all of your inserts! I am going to check out your shop. I use personal and personal wide. I hope you put your work inserts in your shop. I really could use those! I have always loved your setups. So awesome to have them for ring inserts. Thank you for sharing!

Awesome flip Lindsey, your personal ring setups have always been my faves. I always feel your pain on rings vs bound 😅 because I have the same issue with archiving. I want everything in a single place, but everything has different paper or layout needs, and I want it seamlessly archived like a bound book - ha - (and I can’t get past the “impermanent” feel of hole-punched paper). I’ve used the Weeks this entire year and been super happy with it which is pretty amazing (like most of us, I’ve bounced around every year, until this one). Archiving has been the single biggest stumbler for me also, which is what’s kept me primarily in a bound book, and this year I added some tip-ins to scratch the itch for adding in deco stuff, made a dashboard, etc, and that helped. Regarding archiving - I’ve wondered about the FC binder. The Filofax Clipbook works well, I have archived notes (that I refer to regularly) in one, and I’ve used the Amazon clear/frosted covers to separate out work (I’m also in IT, I keep all my stuff for a while for reference) and personal stuff by year. The large binder rings also work well since the clear covers don’t hold much. If you haven’t already found her, check out Pretty Little Pocket - she has the best ring archiving and indexing that I’ve seen yet.

I LOVEED your planner! I was very excited to see this video. I'm currently using Personal Rings and I love it so much, for me it's the perfect size to write, I like to journal everyday and I like to have everything in one place.
About the archive question, what do you think about hold the pages and transform it in a notebook? You can make a cover for 2023 and since you have a lot of acetates you can put in the front and the back to protect the pages so it would be like a notebook with clear cover

When you are common placing can’t you just put a sticky tab color that matches the dot? So you can just find the color tan you want when you want to flip back to a certain color? Then it has a purpose. Kind of like annotating a book.👍🏾🖤
Franklin Covey Pocket is actually A6 size! It's confusing because all other rings companies have a different size for "pocket".
I think it’s funny how certain things make you feel certain ways. I agree with TNs feeling artistic and that’s why I am devoted to them. I did discs and rings before the pandemic maybe 2015-2019 or so. The made me feel more organized but also more…..stuffy? I don’t like the idea of carrying rings around but I love the idea of throwing my TN in a bag and going. I am actually very anti-rings and I’m sure there is probably an underlying issue there lol. Just something I was thinking about. Do what makes you happy 😊
Loving on your books. :). I had to return my iron flame with sprayed edges because Amazon pulled from my husbands work CC since my card I put on it back in June was no longer valid. Now, I’m getting one from Target with no sprayed edges. I was lucky the Amazon version was perfect, hate I had to return it. Can’t have my husband get fired for it. Lol

The Covey pocket is not the same size as an AZ pocket. I have two Covey binders and the paper is slightly smaller than a 4x6 index card. I punch my index cards to fit into the binder so it’s perfect for my needs.
Nostalgia! I started in a Filofax more years ago than I care to admit. Got back into it in 2016. Am obsessed with your bullet journal at the moment though…

Just wondering, is the grid size the same on all the inserts in your shop, or the same at least across size or does it vary? I'm specifically wondering about your a6 inserts.

truthfully, they vary a bit. I try to keep things around 4mm, but depending on the insert content I'll adjust a row or column to make a layout work. I use a mix of adobe and canva. highly recommend canva if you don't mind doing things relatively manually bc it's free!
