I used to go to Windsor to watch trains and it was so interesting seeing all the different trains, I loved the CP Alcos and all the CN zebras, fantastic job on all these videos, I truly enjoyed them 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks Dan for the excellent video. I appreciate watching classic footage of trains from the 90's. Windsor sure was an interesting place back then with plenty of rail action from different railroads and the CP ALCOS and EMDs were a pleasure to see. My dad worked in Windsor for CN in the summer of 93 and filmed some good video of many different freights from the site of the old depot which I believe is now torn down. It sure was nice that CP brought back the big Alcos during those years and gave everyone another chance to see them before they were retired for good. Those were the good days.
Man, you see all those new vehicles on those auto racks, and realize probably 80% of them have been scrapped and recycled into new vehicles by now! Makes ya feel old. Great footage of the past Dan!
So much GOLD in that video! The locos, the rolling stock, the automobiles, the tunnels.... The early 90's was a wonderful time to be a railfan! It was the end of an era not unlike the eras that saw the end of the elegant E's and F's, and the end of steam.
Great video. Been railfanning for 60 years, so seen most of these runbys and photographed hundreds of them in 35mm. What struck me about your vid? The freight cars have yet to be (ahem!) "decorated"

This video is incredible. I'm from Windsor and watching this is like looking at a totally different city compared to how CP and CN are today.

I certainly agree with you on that one. The 90's absolutely were a great time in railroading.
I love it when the gates come down and I’m the first car in line and a 500 car freight train goes by at two miles an hour.
Nice to see that conductor hustle for the tail end after normaling the switch.
Merry Christmas to me! Thanks for posting this.

Those M630 and M636 units are so cool.
Love the higher angles. It's always strange to watch the tops of the radiators move on those MLW units.
Great video.

That's one of the reasons I like this era so much. Little or no graffiti on freight equipment back then.
Hey, Just wanted to wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Thanks for all the great videos!
wow great you have another video :) Its great to see such rare footage of the tunnel and the old riverfront action.
Do you have any video of the old waterfront operations back in the 80s, when Norfolk Southern used to ferry oversize cars across the St. Claire River?

I do not have any more Windsor trips coming in '93. Not sure if there is any from '94 or later, but I don't think much.
Well, what about Sault Ste Marie? Did you come to the Soo in 1993 or 1994? @@dlcluley
