- Watch the Full Panel from Comic Con 2019. HBO's Emmy-winning series Westworld returns for its third season in 2020. Creators, executive producers, and directors Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy and cast members Thandie Newton, Aaron Paul, Tessa Thompson, Evan Rachel Wood, and Jeffrey Wright, will present an early look at the forthcoming third season of the drama series, a dark odyssey about the dawn of artificial consciousness and the birth of a new form of life on Earth. Moderated by futurist Amy Webb.
The moderator is terrible. She should know that they aren't going to answer specific questions about a show THAT BARELY ANSWERS SPECIFIC QUESTIONS IN THE SHOW ITSELF.

Almost every such entertainment panel is asked questions about the work that they're not allowed to answer.

Ironically, for a show famed for it's well written hosts, the one they got for this panel was severely under-developed.
They could have done better but because they are being super secret about season 3 ,it might have been the reason for the weakness of the panel

also my goodness Tessa is everywhere you go girl im glad she's still in Westworld and in all the other things and back as Valkyrie I keep seeing trailers in hearing about her in more stuff I'm glad she's doing favorites new projects as well :)

Doesn't the host sometimes feel kinda intense and pushy in a dumb way?
A lot of unnecessarily complicated and philosophical questions... Would love to know more about the new locations, the sets, how the CGI is set apart from other seasons, how the actors had to prepare physically for their roles, like how early they had to go to work, how many night-shoots they had to attend, the intensity of their training as compared to previous seasons, the audition process for Aaron if there was one, how the show-runners had to make it harder for fans to correctly guess the plot this season, etc.
Also, I didn't like how the host kept shutting down the audience every time they cheered for Jeffrey. Surely some time can be spared for that...
It was embarrassing for me, as I'd call myself probably a futurist myself, but this focus isn't needed for a panel like this.
Amy had a lot of interesting questions but I do wonder if she needs more soft speaking skills and improve on making the panel more comfortable and flow easier.
Poor Mr. Nolan, he looks like he wants to jump Aaron Paul for pushing the trailer, hahaha.
Sorry but worst panel host ever ... straight off the bat ... asking questions no one can answer .. sets an awkward tone for the rest of the panel ...

When Jonathan writes something as science fiction it soon becomes after a few months or year science fact. It happened with Person of Interest and about government surveillance, I think after the show premiered Snowden leak happened.

Nolan's have mercifully, already given up on the show. Westworld outsmarted them, requiring more brainpower than Nolans could bring to bear.

There was a crazy tense vibe going on with the cast. Something tells me season 3 behind the scenes didn't go too smoothly.

If your looking for good questions, meaning questions with an awnser , dont get your hopes up with this video ...
This panel wasn't meant for you.
A lot of smart, thoughtful people on the panel. I noticed Jonathan kept nervously chugging at that water. I think he genuinely wanted to save the trailer as a surprise for the end and was completely thrown off the rest of the panel. But seriously, they weren't willing to give away any details, so what was the point?

Amy Webb really did poorly when it came to moderating this panel. Seriously, Comic-Con. Find better people to moderate, not just people who want to make forceful zingers to make them look good, but fail to realize that they just made some backhanded comment against another distinguished actor, esp. someone who's a POC in a leading role. 15:28 min in points that out. She's just trying to get brownie points for herself.

The right questions weren't asked. If the cast answered any of the questions that moderator asked, it most likely would have spoiled the set up for S3. This show depends on unraveling the story & characters per episode.
