    as soon as i saw the patch notes freeing movement on guardian sword 3 and ele earth sword 3, but not on warrior gs 2 i expected a vid coming for it xd.

      i mean... that was unexpected... pretty much everyone expected a good change on Greatsword 2, as it one of the most useless and outdated skills in a weapon that is literally META on multiple specs.

    "no vision" explains, a lot, the feeling I always have of playing warrior with any (not counting GS, actually) weapon of warrior kit. XD

    Alternative Viewpoint: As someone who works in PR I think people are paying too much emphasis on "We don't have a Specific Vision for Power Berserker." Cal goes on to say there are lots of varieties of it that they are gonna buff a bit to see what if anything sticks. That being said I also believe *actions speak louder than words and thus they clearly don't RIGHT NOW have a direction for Power Berserker.* However I'd also like to remind people that it was nonfunctional / unplayable for basically 5 years where it lost toughness in Berserk Mode, Didn't have it's base F1 Burst Skill, and all of it's skills were instead geared towards: Extending Berserk Mode / Pressing Axe F1 over & over for a "DPS Rotation" in PvE. -- They DID bring it back tho. The utilities now both extend Berserk Mode by X and also Generate Y adrenaline in PvE vs PvP/WvW and because X and Y are vastly different values Berserker plays vastly differently in those "2" game modes. They were able to hybridize the initial "adrenaline gain" as well as the "berserk extension" playstyles, which IS a GOOD thing.
    I however have no excuse for why it took them *4-5 years* to do this tho. Same thing with the "Mirage Can't Dodge While CC'D" fix, especially considering Mirage-on-release had a Grandmaster that was "supposed" to stunbreak you when you dodge'd until everyone realized that was superfluous. Forever things that are "not a priority" I guess?

    Fingers crossed that if they unlocked the movement of Guardian Sword 3, that they'll do the same for Warrior GS2. But definitely need to make enough of a noise for Arenanet to actually notice...

    Ah yes, the consequences of "no vision".
    Missing the mark completely.
    I don't know why devs do these changes for changes sake patches. It's almost like they're throwing stuff at prod just to see what sticks.
    It is hard to remain optimistic under such pretenses.

    The reason they unrooted Guardian's Sword 3 is likely because they had the animation done from unrooting Warrior's F1 (Flurry.) Hundred Blades doesn't share any animations with Guardian Skills, so it likely won't get fixed' until 2046. And the timing for damage packets for it is already jank enough without them trying to speed up the animation/cast time. | To be clear: In an ideal world these are lazy, bad reasons. And reciprocity would be nice one day. Even Dragon Trigger 3 didn't get it's "projectile pathing" fixed even though Necro Swords auto did. But these 2 patches are clearly a) "Work on New Weapons" and b) "Work with what we have." Not about Bladesworn. It's frustrating to have the can' I like perpetually kicked down the road ofc. But I will take what I can get, which for now is hopefully rush not firing into space. I still have no idea why Rush and Savage Leap only hit 1 target tho. The "Target Cap Balance Thing" is something I'd deeply like to ask CmC about if I ever get the chance.

      Exactly This ^. I'm just 1,000% tired of the self-fulfilling prophecy that is: Warrior is jank / sucks >> People don't play it >> Warrior's 'not a priority' so it stays jank/sucks/takes them 11 years to fix known bugs like Rush, if ever. And I wish there was a more productive way to effectively communicate that than shouting into the mudpit that is the Warrior Forums. Which let's be real, they probably don't read, or heaven-forbid. Writing comments on RUclips lol

      It is one thing to postpone certain changes due to technicall dificulties, and completly different thing to throw crap at the wall and see what sticks.
      [Savage Leap] cooldown buff is completly unwarranted for, [Last Stand] buff, helps Condi zerker more than anyone, and power burst damage improvements are more or less redundant, when Condi can go full tank and stil oneshot people with Akeem-skullgrinder's effective 10 confusion.
      To top it of [Hundred Blades] post buff will still do less damage in the same timeframe (3.5 sec) than GS auto chain does, while also preventing you from moving.
      This patch buffs the strongest warrior build in PvP and barerly nudges the ones in need of help the most.
      If not the gloryfied bugfix (rush changes) It'd look as if made by an unpaid intern in one weekend.

      @@captaincrapface7337 I don't disagree with you. It just occured to me on the Dev/Cycle Flurry thing. + I recently learned that actual "unpaid interns" are illegal here. So honestly I find it more offensive knowing someone gets paid do the Warrior updates. 😐 I'm happy they're adding some damage back to CC skills like wild blow. As damage+cc was like, all Warrior had for the longest time. But I don't know what the dramatic hangup is on leaving / restoring the launch + knock back interaction. It gave such skills flavor even if they sucked. I guess it's just not in their design documents rn? Slipper power-creep slope & all that maybe.

      Also you know how I keep saying "Staff is just every other Warrior weapon but better because it's actually functional?" I just checked and Staff autos indeed do more than GS ones. At least in PvP & WvW.
      I'm not going to ask you not to do a video on it ofc. But I am gonna say it's gonna be a solid 3 weeks that I at least get to enjoy Staff before that video comes out, ANet takes entirely the wrong feedback from it & nerfs the Staff Autos instead of meaningfully buffing Greatsword and/or they remove Alacrity from [Daring Dragon] in competitive because, like Sindri in God of War Ragnarok, they just never stop taking no matter how much I craft and practice weird / fun playstyles out of traits everyone else thinks are useless. 😂

      @@GW2Pseudo Desighn documents? You look at this and assume they have desighn documents on pvp warrior?
      I'd rather have them postpone changes untill they have a clear vision in mind, rathet than try to wing it on the fly.
      Seeing something overbuffed, only to be nerfed in different way making it worse than before buffs, happened already few times, (*cough* Bladesworn *cough*) and i wouldn't want that to happen over and over again.
      And I'm worried that'll keep happening if Devs keep going forward withaout a vision or a goal in mind.
      If only there were passionate warrior mains that could recieve inspirations from :/

    seeing this video again made me delete my competitive built warrior only letting my pve warrior around cause is my only character with 500 level in any type of crafting .
    I lost my interest in warrior while these incompetent devs are around.

      Either Ranger or Guardian are better options than warrior. I sometimes play Warrior to remind myself how bad it is (outside of condi zerker) then go back to playing Ranger.

    Another amazing video. I'm ready for the next Savage Leap buff to be giving it 10 stacks of might instead of fixing the hit registration. Never gets old plunging my sword down someone's throat for the attack to never land.

    hate to break it to all war players but GS is and always was UTILITY weapon. it has 2 dmg skills (burst included) its for going it/out and killing downed.
    war is meme king, he has no utility to speak of, his boons are trash (shared and self) possibly class with least mobility (anyone able to blink 2 meters above you already won) utility skills from spell breaker/blades worn are meme territory.

      What's the UTILITY of [Hundred Blades] the skill that does nothing but damage, and doesn't let you move.
      What's the utility of a weapon with no hard, or soft block, no CC and no Condition application besides vulnerability and a cripple.
      Mobility, Is it then?
      [Savage Leap] a singular skill, allows you to cover ground at similar pace, has build in cripple and can go over gaps in terrain, which neither of GS skills can do.
      [Savage Leap] *A SINGLE SKILL* brings the same amount of mobility and Cripple as GS in its entirety, and also it gets a cooldown buff THIS PATCH.
      And if 3/4 sec evade is all thet's needed to make GS a UTILITY weapon, then Ranger's GS, Dagger offhand, Sword and Shortbow all are UTILITY weapons and therefore shouldn't do any damage.
      Because if you haven't noticed [Hundred Blades] does less DPS than auto chain, and you are somehow defending it.
      Currently in PvP/WvW Greatsword Auto chain has damage ratios of 0.469, 0.6365 and 0.8375 with 1/2 seck each attack, while [Hundred Blades] does 2.8+0.8 (3.6) over 3 and 1/2 of a second.
      You can complete two auto chains and one more auto over the same time frame as fully casting [Hundred Blades]
      Two Auto chains + 1st auto = 3x0.469 + 2x0.6365 + 2x0.8375 which equals to 4.355 power, which is more than entire damage of [Hundred Blades].
      Post buff, [Hundred Blades] will go from 2.8+0.8 (3.6) to 3,2+1.0 (4.2) which is still less than auto chain does in the same time.
      ater the damage buff it will still be more effective to just spam auto chain then to cast [Hundred Blades] and auto chain also applies vulnerability and lets the player move.
      This "buff" is a literall fucking insult.
      And you are questioning why I'm dissapointed?

      100b is for killing downed ppl.
      utility of GS is MOBILITY and insane dmg on GS3 which is evade and movement skill.
      savage leap have 600 range.
      GS rush have 1200 range + gs 3 another 450 thats almost triple the range buddy.
      no ranger GS is just better, ez as that.
      it has utility and dmg, thats why power war is a joke class in pvp and meta went to condi war with 15 blocks and 2 skills which deal dmg.
      100b do little more than aa, its outdated asf and hard to improve. even if it did 3x more dmg you will never hit anyone with it anyway. so it would require complete rework or just copy animation from guard gs. sadly this is pvp problem so no1 in anet cares.
      well anet balancing pvp for silver tier.
      thats why berserker got removed 3 spins since slower players got deleted in 2 sec.
      war deals insane dmg and is very ez to play on lower levels,thats why they keeping him down,but im quite sure that war in pvp is trash tier for years.
      war isnt bad, there are just classes which doing much more while providing boons,heals utility for team so unless you arent top 10 war in game you gona feed in ranked.

      not really, Swords and Dagerrs hold up pretty well, LB only needs aftercasts adjusted, Torch needs its numbers sorted out, Mace Offhand, Pistol, Warhorn and Shieald are good as they are.
      Main issue warrior has is power discrepency between traitlines, hevyly forcing a predetermined playstyle. Sorting trait related BS out would elevate half of warrior's weapons from trash to viable tier.

      ​@@captaincrapface7337 mace offhand is garbage, I dont remember seeing anyone using it in any content at all, main hand mace at least has skull grinder, a "block" and a stun, it just relies more on the offhand to provide its bulk dmg, so you can pair with dagger, axe, sword, pistol and even torch to fill that part while it fills the cc.
      I dont like warrior rifle, outside of meme one shot it just doesnt feel good to use, LB is the same the aftercast of skills and the slow projectiles just feels bad to use. And GS is...GS... hundred blades, rush and the throwing sword, sigh..
      Now to the good stuff: axes, shield, daggers and hammer are VERY good weapons, maybe not offhand dagger as much but still useful, and swords are getting there.

      As i said, Mace offhand doesn't fit in neither of currently popular viable warrior builds, which means it doesn't see use.
      Mace MH only sees use becouse Akeem Condi Zerker is stupid, and 10 confusion is enough to cause some classes to completley collapse under their own weight.
      Axes and hammer aren't good weapons. anywhere above G2 you'd get that fact beaten into your head untill you'd learn it.
      But, hey that's the beauty of opinins. All of them can be equally wrong, and still fun to exchange.

      @@captaincrapface7337 axes are very good in PvE, hammer is good in pve and good in pvp on spb.
      As for axe, there is a youtuber, The Jango, he uses mh axe and sometimes offhand axe in his videos, he plays mainly wvw roaming tho, still very fun to watch check him out later if you can.
      As for offhand mace, point kinda stands, it doesnt see use anywhere the damage is too low on crushing blow to compensate for no damage on tremor unfortunatly...

    I main warrior in my opinion its the class the is a true fight. No gimicks just a skilled fighter. This patch has disappointed me however i will not give up. I hope one day the acqire a vision for us die heart warriors. Ty for info .

    As soon as I saw the HB buff, I posted don't need a buff just need to move. Only skill I use with GS is F1 then weapon swap to better weapons

    elementalist's rust frenzy also got the same treatment of zealot's defense, so i don't really get why they coudn't make hundred blades a skill that you could use while moving... it seemed so natural to me, that i was baffeld when warrior didn't got this much needed upgrade

      [Flurry], [Zealot's Defense] and [Rust Frenzy] technicallly share the same animation, while [Hundred Blades] has a unique one.
      Perchaps they didn't touvh [Hundred Blades] becouse it would be more work to do than just Ctrl+C >> Ctrl+V, which would be an explanation that isn't making them look better in the slightest.

    Glad i quit this game, Warrior is beyond saving. Imagine reworking Greatsword alltogether, it has only 2 good abilities, Being Whirlwind and Arcing Slice

      it's amazing how a Weapon SOOO outdated with only 2 good abilities ( 1 being the burst skill) is STILL meta in MANY MANY power builds in pvp and wvw.
      With a garbage 2, garbage 4 and a bugged 5.
      That is definetly a clear indication that warrior sucks.

      Amazing btw how skullgrinder gets more stuff, but they will simply never make it a leap finisher unlike other mace skills with the same animation.

      @@marshal8358 Primal Bursts take their properties from Core Bursts they're derivitive from. I know that, becouse i learned that [Decapitate] is a movement skill, by [Warrior's Sprint] lol.

    The attempts at 'fixing' Rush are as meme worthy as the rifle buffs. Just replace it with Ranger greatsword Swoop for fucks sake. At least that is faster and actually reliable.

    If they just speed up the animations on hammer it would be a major step in the right direction. Hammer to me is the most annoying because it’s so slow. Now to me warrior in pvp was always meant to be a bunker. Problem is there’s nothing to bunk from since everyone just runs away and finds another target. Also warrior is gonna be a crap show with staff. Not sure what there going for

    Please stop giving them ideas how to buff guardians!
    Hundred blades is still iconic warrior skill. Though it has shifted from being cool to a meme. I would propose either giving it zealot defense treatment or shift it to be a burst skill. Still immobility needs to go.
    I was thinking to give hundred blades similar effect to revenant's sword 3. Same kind as Cloud's (ff7) or juggernaut's (dota 2) omnislash. Of course it would need more tweaking so we dont have a tracking nuke at our hands.😅

    Lol, I'm shocked that hundred blades, still can't be turned OR moved with 10 years later. Greatsword dis kool, but it's the definition of clunky in a game that has become more and more fast paced and fluid, as each expac passes.

      Greatsword was a GREAT weapon ... in 2012-2015 or something.
      Now it's just TOO outdated, a lot of shit happened, game is a lot more fast paced.. Greatsword is extremely outdated.. AND power builds in WvW/pvp still use it cus of GS3 and F1 cus there are not even better alternatives xD
      A weapon with garbage 2, garbage 4 and a bugged 5... is actually Meta in Power builds.
      That's how bad the state of warrior is.

    I think they won't make 100b a skill able to move cause it would be too much damage in competitive while moving but if they nerfed damage for movement GS would lose its only "consistent" damage.

    2:10 this point show me that ppl doesnt understand or just dont want to understand how mechanics should work
    let me explain myself in this critic
    so this skill is doing big damage but you cant move while doing it
    thats a tradeoff, and that make the skill non-generic so probably to get the best of this skill you need setup, like a root or cc, so when you hit this skill you get rewarded by make correct use of it
    also this skills works as zoning tools, so you enemy have to move off the way or get punished for not doing it
    '' if you can move while using this skill that will fix it'' no, is nothing to fix, and if you do that you will transform this skill in a generic push botton to do dps instead of something who has a mechanic
    others example, imagine this on any game, an assasin class who has low HP and do Burst damage
    if you want to nerf it, ppl will say '' oh this class have to much damage, need to get low'' in most cases the best you can do is not nerf his burst damage, instead you make the class fragile so you have a Strengh and a Weakness, have identity and players who can exploid this will be rewarded
    if you take this assasin class that i put as example, and the way to balance for you is lowering his burst damage and give it more hp to compensate you basicaly kill the concept of an assasin and become a generic class
    skills can have tradeoff and is good, less mobility but more damage is good, have counterplay and you can punish players for not playing arround your skill

      1 - "this skill does a big damage but misses completly and gets you killed 80% of the time you use it" isn't a tradeoff, is a travesty with a crankshaft.
      2 - As i said in the video warrior doesn't even have cc long enough to setup [Hundred Blades] and has to burn multiple cooldowns to have **A CHANCE** of fully hitting.
      3 - The zoning tool with 130 range, can't even zone one enemy out of a node, what's your bloody point?
      4 - what do you mean there's nothing to fix? optimal use of [Hundred Blades] most often boils down to not using it at all. And, going from clunky, annoying push botton to do dps to generic push botton to do dps is an objective improvement.
      5 - It doesn't have mechanics, it just has artificial roadblocks standing in the way of its effectiveness.
      6 - Thief can already oneshot out of stealth, evade infinite damage, and has hard block avaliable as an utility skill. Mesmer can go fully Invulnerable and reset its cooldowns, including invlulnerability cooldown and therefore we had multiple bunker-chrono metas in the past. GW2 is tactfully telling your argument to grog off as we speak.
      7 - So you say, If a class is clearly overpowered becouse feature X is clearly overpowered, we need to nerf feature Y instead of feature X, becouse being overpowered is the identyty of the overpowered thing.
      You try to oversimplyfy complex topic and turn mostly correct statement into logical pitfall.
      8 - Warrior can't scale elevation/bypass terrain with his mobility, Doesn't have Invisibility, Desn't have instant gapclosers ignoring Wards/AoE's in the path, Doesn't have animation free blocks, doesn't have viable ranged power weapon, and doesnt have ranged main hand at all.
      How many more fucking tradeoffs does this class need, before you gracefully allow it to have something good?

    Arenanet has favorite childs its like they made the skills to pleasure them selves. Pvp is unbalanced and disgusting thats why i dont bother play anymore either you get 1 hit or full of condis that if u cleance them you get all the set 1sec later and if you play survival u can deal no dmg and thats for all the profesions.
