    As I have said before, better than a poke in the eye with a blunt stick! I have spent a whole day digging out a crevice for less up my local! But have found much more in 2 hours as well, but that is the game, eh? On ya brudda's! ❤ It! Cheers.

    Hot dam! Actually, a great technik double there, Scott and Andy. Two, cleaning out the long gutter, great technique for alongside a mullock heap or a narrow gully, any similar application, really, although number one for us was the upper to lower dam water transfer! Now, we fully suspect that one suss dam we puzzled about, because it was some twenty metres above the creek it was next to, exactly like your one, clear water, and little floating round leaves, lilypads? Like I've forgotten how to speak fkn English, dammit! Friday. Lilypads, like them jacana birds walk on, but little. Well, the creek being 20 metres up, and about the same away from the creek edge, also clean water, we must say - these are former German diggings about 1853-1858, that they later bought up as rural lots, and built a Lutheran church with a belltower, and the bell was called "Concordia", 1869! What a cool date. Recast in 1935. Rung every NYE. "Ein '69, fraulein?!" "Oh, ja, ja, ja!"
    1853 - and ship's doctor, Ernst Wanke, jumps off at Melbourne Town, to join his brother and other German escapees from via Heligoland, UK ruled, and pissed off to clean up the Dandenong Ranges of 6000 ounces of gold, between the 30 of them. "Lucky Germans", they're known as. Et, tu, Brothers! Just stay off my creeks, like... Ha ha!

    Maybe use 5 gallon bucks filled two/thirds full for caring to the sluice. With two of you working at it the job will make the project go smooth and steady, instead of wasting time and energy by walking each spade shovel full of material a considerable distance back to the high banking sluice.

    • @homesteadiswhereyoumakeit9056
      @homesteadiswhereyoumakeit9056 5 месяцев назад

      To add to this I recently watched a video that showed running dream mat without continuous feed of material will lose gold so making a pile of pay close to the high banker then running it all continuously might help you could easily check this yourself by running your tailings pile in a continuous run. I will try to add the video I saw for a reference.

      Would be a little more labor intensive to shovel material twice but if it gets more gold might be worth it.

    Mate that water you run through your hibanker was way to thick with sediment ...would have lost all your fines and a fair bit of your chunky ...cleaner water make a huge difference
