Take heart,many a time i have scored as big as 6 gram nuggets from the rim of lone test holes.This tells me that there is gold in the ground ,but maybe not right on bottom , between the lone hole and main diggings .Therefore if i dig a test hole between the two i may snag something good .Simply saying that now and then ,an experiment/hole dug, could be fun and rewarding.

Good ideas worked through, Scott and Andy. We'll need get the smell of fish from a few spare buckets and load up on the brown trout creek with paydirt with the shiny stuff. We'd heard the comments from PPA, reminded of Pete's and Gadzee's shouts, and the links of goodness grew, so thanks on that angle too, engelke Two Brothers!

Nice work Brothers, you got a bit of colour .01g per bucket, that's a lot of sweat or a small amount, now wouldn't it be nice if you could keep your feet cool in a creek and do a spot of panning, good times. By the look of how loose that gravel is i'd say it's already been washed by the old timers and poorly at that, hence the bit of gold left behind. Happy hunting on the next trip. Cheers, Pete
