With a 7800 XT, I get about a 50-75% increase in perf in OptiFine over Sodium + Iris which really sucks since Sodium has so much more compatibility with other mods than OptiFine which I can't even get to work with MultiMC.
Shaders on optifine seems more natural (for me ofc). Shaders on Fabric or sodium are good, but I personally don't like iris shaders the most. And i have been asking this for a while... Can you plz do a video on Litematica?
That’s really weird. I myself have a 1650(mobile) and get pretty reasonable performance. Besides, I don’t think minecraft is a CPU bound game, especially while using shaders. So you might want to check your settings and stuff, it most likely isn’t a problem with your hardware…
still you gotta load your surroundings in before actually testing. in my case optifine has decreasing perfomance over time as i load more chunks, what wasnt present with iris
Yeeesss, finally the video I’ve been waiting for. I’ve actually gotten better fps from sodium when I have my pbr resource packs on tho. But pbr is known to suck up a lot of resources, and without those, Optifine is definitely better… Fun fact about SEUS PTGI, it is actually one of the hardest shaders to run, and without HRR (Half Resolution Rendering) which is something similar to DLSS upscaling in bedrock (but without requiring rtx cards) that Sonic Ether put on the shaders, you would barely get like half the fps you got now… PS : To see how the game would look without HRR, turn of TAA in shader settings…
@CaptainMcShotgun Minecraft doesn’t implement FSR or TSR right, so DLSS was the best comparison I could go for. Ik they’re not the same, but they accomplish pretty much the same thing…
Yup, especially when it comes to mod compatibility. Optifine sucks with other mods, but I have to say, Optifine is definitely better than iris rn, especially with pbr…
Can u try to run seus ptgi e12 or hrr3 in a 16gb and Intel i5 core laptop cuz my laptop 12gb ram i3 can run it in optifine with 30 fps and in Iris 1-7 fps
What resolution are you playing at? My 6800 xt manages to get 90 fps on average at 1440p but with framerate stutters, I've never heard of any igpu getting that high fps using seus ptgi

Why not thest Fabric with all the other enhancements ? Lithium and Phosphor ?
Love these videos! Keep it up!
Thanks so much! :) I will do similar ones, sure!

Hey thanks :)

@@gamerpotion Will hope for it!
Nice video as always ;)
Thanks so much!!
wow, didn't know these tests were so relevant, until i saw that you have same gpu as me
Keep up the goob work
Thanks!
I get around 20 fps on sodium, but on optifine I get from 1 to 3 fps. Really weird.
Hi, what PC specs you got?
@@gamerpotion gtx 1650s, ryzen 3 3100 (4 cores) 16 gigs of ram
It is probably a bottleneck

Hi yes this is true :)

FIRST
Hey that was super quick!
Anyone know how to fix water on sodium? I mean that weird squares when looking at specific angle
Set the shadow quality to 1
UwU OPP i knew Optifine is better
ye but sometimes sodium is better in some scenarios and vice versa
Iris performs better with BSL based shaders
my opinion is that sodium is the best
Hi :) yeah sodium works well for me overall, thats true
