This guy! Fuuuck! He has ALWAYS been my favorite guitarist. I fell in love with Ratt for the soaring guitar work in 1985-86. I was 13 going on 14 and had already picked up guitar at 12, so, between Warren and Robins playing, and Atomic punk, and all of Eds B side shit up to that point from VH.... I miss those days. I hope ppl realize just how good Warren is. He's got style, snot, chops for days, big chords, and his lead work is always spot on live. He's a hard worker and should be respected more by the guitar community.
@@williamdistasio9358He has most of them but doesn’t play them live much anymore. The original of the one in the video is in a Hard Rock in Asia somewhere getting destroyed by hamburger grease. The bodies of the new dinky style don’t even have the same shape as the originals and none of them had neck single coil pickups. I believe he added a neck pickup to the original crossed swords guitar though.
@stevemineer2857 Yeah, I noticed after reading your original comment that the guitar has a truss rod wheel. So, it can't be that old, lol. I own a couple of newer Charvels, so I noticed that.
@@williamdistasio9358 Yeah, there are quite a few differences between the old and new ones. The old necks on the dinky body strats are wider with a 1 3/4" nut and have a different profile. Most people today probably wouldn’t like those old necks. I have a couple original Charvel strat head necks and I don’t even care much for them anymore. His first Charvels with the full size strat bodies have an extra wide neck of 1 7/8" nut. They only made those for him and Allan Holdsworth that I’m aware of.
I remember living in Berlin in early 85. Someone was playin Ratt Out of the Cellar from their 3rd floor bedroom window. I yelled, "What is that?" He said, "Ratt, you guys aint got this here yet!" He'd just come over from the 'States'.. (yea, I know this song is later..)
I like his playing too but he doesnt pick every note.....its all hammer ons and pull offs...not so difficult...but he has great instincts, phrasing wise...
So fucking badass!!!!! I hate the "underrated guitar player" analogy. Anyone that plays the instrument just fucking knows how inventive and tasty Demartini is. Always has been and always will be!!!!!!!!! Killin it!!!!
Yes Sir! Glenn Tipton / KK Downing, Warren and George Lynch are my fav guitar player of all time. Taste, sound, performance, IMPACT! That's why I bought Charvel guitar :D
No chance for RATT reunion, so the next best thing is Stephen with Erik solo...Various concert dates, We seeing them on several dates.. July 8 Big Flats NY and York PA July 25h... We continue to RATT N ROLL from Upstate NY,,,Yea!!!!!!!!!
he never could. pearcy wasnt ever a "good vocalist" he was a good "front-man" for the time. and still manages to pull it off without looking pathetic like many others of his time DO.
Warren kicks ass, and other instrumentalists are top notch too. Too bad Pearcy's voice seems to be gone, although he didn't always sound very good live in the 80s either.
This is such a great song yet Stephen has horrible stage presence. All he does is walk around like he's looking for his contact lenses on the stage. As a front man it's your job to get the crowd behind the performance, get them excited and make them feel like they're getting their money's worth.
Sounds cool on paper but man, I'm not sure if they would clash, or work together like Warren and Robin (R.I.P.) did back in the day. They both use a lot of similar diminished scales that are similar, yet tailored differently. Unity harmony solos like in "Round and round" in new songs would be sweet though. 🤘🏼😎🎸

I love how Warren still has all the guitars he played back then. It makes the concerts seem like a real time warp.
They’re recreations.
@stevemineer2857 No shit? But he still has them somewhere, no?

Warren, great guitar licks and one of the nicest guys in the trade. Class act!!
DeMartini is still on his A game....tearing it up
definitely

Haha! I love how you focused on Warren instead of Stephen :D I play guitar too you know so I absolutely dig his style.
Is this the Paramount show in April? It was awesome
They know what’s up! 🤘🏽
This is nuts, this guy is so underrated, what a player! More Warren stuff please!
I like his playing too but he doesnt pick every note.....its all hammer ons and pull offs...not so difficult...but he has great instincts, phrasing wise...
@@andysott LoL
He's my favourite of all time
Dimartini under rated?
what?
@andysott Yeah, loved the way he hammered and pulled off those chords..😏

@Bart_Steel Then you must like Jake then.....no, not Jake from All-State lmao.
I own some Charvels, too!
I love that guitar. Always have. It isn’t RATT without Warren. That solo. Holy Sh**!! Thank You for sharing this video.
best hair band out of the 80s!!
Warren like an old good wine, great playing especially the solo! legend
最高にエキサイティングなギタープレイを聴かせてくれるウォーレンは今も健在です👍
THANKS for this! Excellent DeMartini coverage!!! LOVE IT! He's still "Torch"!
That song's a Rock masterpiece.
Warren's always been so sharp and he's still frickin sharp!
Warren is one of a kind.
Is that Covaso on the V?
De Martini is on fire. Pearcy......not even close!
Carlos Cavazo of Quiet Riot is there.I hate to see him taking a back seat.He is a great lead guitarist as well. But Ratt is Warrens band.
Alotta ratt songs? Have 2 leads running at the same time. So? Mr. CAVAZO?surely is playing some of those leads with him 😁❤
Thanks for the De shots!!!!!
Warren makes it look easy 🙏
Great, great band. 💯🎸👋👋
Best Ratt on youtube!!!!
The only way to see Ratt live is with at least the three core members
great video
One classy player!! FYI warren plays with his eyes closed 70% of the time. Jedi level. You could turn the lights out and warren would still be playing
Warren Rocks, such a good talent
Warren DeMartini is one of the greatest guitarist of all time. Ratt & Roll baby yeah! 🤘😎🤘
Carlos is no slouch either.🎉
Rat keeps him working!,…there all friends!
Killer!!
This was a killer line up, if they could get their vocals together. I do miss Robin.
Carlos did a great job though.
No chance for RATT reunion, so the next best thing is Stephen with Erik solo...Various concert dates, We seeing them on several dates.. July 8 Big Flats NY and York PA July 25h... We continue to RATT N ROLL from Upstate NY,,,Yea!!!!!!!!!
wonder if ratt tosses in any QR tunes to let carlos have a moment
Warren still shredding 😊
I love this song since I first heard it in The Golden Boy. Shame that Stephen Pearcy can't hit the high notes anymore, but DiMartini still kick ass!
he never could. pearcy wasnt ever a "good vocalist" he was a good "front-man" for the time. and still manages to pull it off without looking pathetic like many others of his time DO.
carlos cavazzo?
The great Warren D! 🙏🏽
Who's on drums? Not Bobby Blotzer.
Warren played like a god 😨😨😨
Shame Carlos didnt get more solo opportunities in these shows
🤟
le voci non arrivano più così in alto, ma non importa, spaccano sempre il culo!
Warren kicks ass, and other instrumentalists are top notch too. Too bad Pearcy's voice seems to be gone, although he didn't always sound very good live in the 80s either.
Why am i suddenly embarrassed???
?
I hear ya - but it'll be ok.....Just pretend you are front row and focus on Warren........js
Pearcy sounds terrible here

Tuned so down! It's almost a whole different song ... Hmm.
Warren and the band are awesome, but Steven Piercy is just useless and gawdaweful.
I actually think Stephen Pearcy sounds good. Saw RATT at M3 a few years ago and they were good.
I mean yeah ofc he does, but still, nothing compared to his voice before it was fucked up
pretty boys never age well.....
I resemble that remark.
I would love to see warren and G lynch in a group together.
