- Surfers and bodyboarders score clean late morning conditions at the Wedge during a run of solid south swell in mid September 2018. Riders in the video include Chris Ward, Blair Conklin, Wedge Whale, Jon Davis, Harry Bryant and a bunch of unidentified chargers going for broke. The footage in this video was filmed on September 14th 2018.

Hey Ben I love your videos. I don't get to surf a lot and when I do the waves are the opposite of nuking, and I love watching your vids because you always make the best out of bad east coast waves too. YEEEEWWWWWW This weekend it's gonna be Virginia Beach nuking 3 - 4 ft 10 sec. So the stoke in CLEARLY on. Keep it up.

All I can say is I love the Wedge. I body surfed the Wedge in the 70’s. I like going just to the north of all the back wash. That’s where the hollow tubes are😎👍👍👍👍👍🤪

My favorite surf spot to watch by far. Cape fear being number 2. It is the most bad ass pitch you over the falls, ram your head right into the sand, no mercy wave I've ever seen. Its fun to watch. Some of the left barrels people get are picture perfect then they get rewarded with a close out. I would love to hang out at the wedge and take some awesome pics and jist chill on the beach. I would defintley paddle out.

Over the years we've seen many internet celebs come and go from the wedge, all trying to claim Big Dog Status (BDS) - the legendary Kalani Robb, Jamie O and his sidekick pooper, Ben Gravy, Casey neistat, John hill, and the Dancin' baby (ooga chucka)...but none has bested Blair..he's the man to beat!!!

''Heavy Intense Dude'' You have to really be in shape and need to be experienced before anyone should attempt riding waves at The Wedge. Or, any other surf spot along the California coast. Not including good weather day's; plus, beach/tidal conditions. Beginner's, should already be strong swimmers.. ''Safety First'' But yep, it's a fun and exciting sport once you get the ''Hang 10 of Surfing''.
Yeah I live in the desert so no surfing in these parts lol. Just fascinating for sure and mad respect for that athleticism, crazy!
