The title of this video is misleading. I came here to learn about the difference between sport and sport+ mode but you hardly said anything about these.
Sport increases throttle response, keeps DSC on, no slip & you can’t launch the car. (Stiffens suspension & steering, if you have those options)
Sport+ turns off DSC, sends full power, allows you to launch the car & allows a little slip. This isn’t the same as turning off DSC.
Move Gear stick to left (In auto cars) puts it into sport mode & makes gear changes longer & more aggressive (if you change gears, it remains in manual, unless you move it back to ‘D’. Note: the car will shift down, to prevent stall but will not shift up)

Ok so what all changes engine wise with sport mode? I almost never drive with sport mode off. 2020 X1 2.8i
Hey! It's all really depends on the car you drive. Generally speaking - apart from other stuff like stiffened steering and suspension - it makes your throttle respond quicker, so the car feels more eager to get away.

@@bimmer-tech right but what I am asking is what does it actually change mechanically to make it react differently. Does it change the fuel pressure? Does it change anything with the turbo?, etc.
Since the throttle is electronically operated, the software in sport mode allows it to be more sensitive, so the whole car reacts quicker.
My dads got a G20 330e is it possible to change the sports display from the G series version to the F series version

Okay i have a m340i and if I put it in sport mode it switches to sport plus on its own.
If you cannot switch to any other mode and it is always in Sport + mode it is possible that it is due to the current I-level of your vehicle, if you provide us your cars VIN we will be able to confirm that.
I have a 2021 M340i..hit the sport button again and it will switch from sport plus to sport individual and one more time puts it in sport..

My BMW 530d gt has a sport+ mode but when i press the switch to sport+ it not turning to Sport+ but when i purchased the BMW 530d gt it was fine and switch to sport+

I won’t lie but my 420D has sport+ mode but when I see a traction of I always decide for but sport mode scared to crash the car that I didn’t pay yet 😂 idk why but in sport + for some videos I think that my bmw could lose control any minute

I read somewhere that US G20’s (330i) don’t have sport+ mode, but EU variants do 🤔 can anyone confirm if this is true?
