  • So after adding after market exhausts and air filter, there is a decrease in initial pick-up and to overcome that I added Fuel X. This video contains installation, initial impression and POV exhaust sound.

    Thanks for this video. I'm currently considering a Fuel X Lite for my Interceptor after installing aftermarket exhausts and the air filter mod. Cheers mate from the UK.

    I own a Himalayan and have made a few upgrades so far. I added a DNA filter with a cover and recently installed the Fuel X Lite. I chose the Lite version for the same reasons you mentioned in the video - I don't need the pro version. Since installing it, I've noticed the engine runs much smoother, requires fewer gear shifts, and seems to be running cooler (though I need to confirm this after more extensive testing, as I've only done around 40 km on a night ride).

      After using it for over a year, and seeing other versions (pro and pro+} I realized that the lite is the best version. My buddies have pro+ and they eventually end up using only 1 map throughout…. The purpose of the map switch fails on the longer run. Engine definitely runs smoother and cooler.

    This is of good help to someone like me who was thinking of purchasing this product. But would like to hear your long term review esp. if it's fixed the issues with air filter & slip-on upgrade and if the engine runs cooler.
    Ideally should've, since it allows slightly more fuel helping the engine not run very lean.

      Hey, so after using it for some months now, I can confirm that engine heats lesser.
      The bike, still misfires/stalls at times… but I think that is due to clogged inlets, I did too much riding recently in the dirt so got to clean the filters.

      Yes I still have the FuelX on.
      I recorded the long term review but kept that on hold… it would be fair to use it for few rides/months and then give my opinion, with little facts for my viewers.
      But to give you a gist,
      As of now, this definitely reduces the heating a tad bit.
      Fuel efficiency goes down, that was expected.
      Engine runs smoother.
      I’ll know more during the engine change, basically how greasy my engine oil comes out.

    Is it normal to ride in traffic with the high beam headlamp on? In the US we do not use the high beam as we approach other vehicles from the back or front. Understandably, the riding style with lane sharing and passing on both sides is considerably more aggressive and one needs to be seen more easily. Perhaps that is the reason? I could not put that much faith in the drivers around me to understand nor be willing to do the vehicular dance required to be in sync with others on the road.

    • @RanjanSh
      @RanjanSh  9 месяцев назад +1

      It’s not normal, I wouldn’t drive on high beams. On a Bike, the beam is not so strong and harmless, but it alerts people of on oncoming bike from behind - that’s my only reason. In an ideal world, I should be overtaking from right, waiting for my turn to pass, on low beams but the fast lanes are occupied by slow drivers… bikers have an imaginary lane that’s the left most, near the sidewall even though we are the faster ones. At times I’m guilty of using high beam but it’s only to protect myself coz most commuters don’t even look at their RVMs.

    • @bikernate8902
      @bikernate8902 9 месяцев назад +1

      Makes sense to me... I'd want to be visible as quickly as possible if riding aggressively. It looks like it takes quite a bit of skill to negotiate the tight spots and unknown, upcoming obstacles. Back in the 80's and 90's I raced closed course stand up PWC (Jet skis) highly modded and we would line up twenty skis to run a tight course. Even under those controlled conditions, impact was inevitable and painful. I guess that may be why I ride passively and enjoy taking in the experience of the ride. Particularly on my RE's... I have an Interceptor 650 and a REBorn Classic 350. Absolutely love these bikes. Best I've owned and I have owned countless bikes from HD to all the Japanese metric brands. RE suits me like no other bike...

      @@bikernate8902 Out here, we like to be alerted when someone is wanting a pass, either by a beep or lights.. I lost the habit of honking after driving in UK for few years, so resort to keeping beams high.
      My riding has changed a tad bit, become a little more aggressive as I understand the motorcycle better and have more control…. There are quite a few POV videos I’ve posted, pls check them out.
      I had an RE 350 as well and still enjoy riding both equally. Inti gives much more control due to the the extra power.

      That’s RE for you 🙂 all of them stall. S411 also stalls if you don’t pay attention in taking off. Fuel X lite will help you slightly (read marginally), pro on higher maps might give you better result but for that you have to get filter, spark plugs and FuelX all 3 in combination.
