- Spotting video @ Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (TJSJ/SJU)! Spotting in 2/15/19, this day features one of the US Air Force's WC-135W Constant Phoenix arriving to San Juan (SJU) in what I would describe as an "unstable" landing. It seems that the family of C-135 aircraft tend to produce a lot of lift, which results in interesting landings such as this one. Hope you like it! & don't forget to comment, rate & subscribe!

It bounced the way it did because the spoilers weren't immediately extend (I think auto spoilers aren't available on these aircraft) so the aircraft was still producing a lot of lift upon touchdown
That was one hell of a landing. Great catch!
Thanks, my friend!
I few that aircraft, 667, many times. The problem was not keeping the right wing down to counter the crosswind. Today they just teach to land in a crab and kick out with the rudder. The result is what you saw.
Love those classic PWs
Wao!!!
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it
That was a lot of rudder.
Winds at SJU are almost always from the east, but now and then you get some strong ones from southeast.
Ooops!😲
Still using the E model engines
Came in fast
I believe the same. Too fast for comfort.
Uyyy
Neva seen a Jet that size land
So Unstable like that 🤔
What a noise
Old smokers!
When you put her on the ground you want her to stay there. But when you push the yoke forward to keep her there, you want to make sure she does not have any lift left. Just sayn’.
