The best comment I ve read. They try to betray and ruin the Alfas. This is german marketing. We owned an alfa 147 17 yrs ago when it was released and that car was incredible. The interior and building quality ,the driving and the feeling of it was super incredible. Much better than any german car. Much better than a mercedes e class or BMW 5 from 2003.

I wish they could tweek their interior quality, and update the ligths to LED, the screen resolution, interior quality (gear shifter, knobs) etc.

Good review Brian. Love your enthusiasm. If I were to be able to buy the Stelvio, I would have it in pearl white ( to emphasize the muscles) with gloss black trim line, the typical Alfa rims and black / ice interior with a sun roof. The 280 hp is more than enough power, even the 200 hp (petrol of course) is sufficient. At least in the Flemish countryside where I live.

Booked an X5 for Skiing holiday over Christmas in Austria for two adults and two late teen boys and luggage, purely as it was the roomiest on offer.
Not available at arrival at car rental desk.
Equivalent was shown to us and it was an Alpha Stelvio.
Couldn't fit more than two of the five soft bags full of winter/ski gear in the rear.
Had to hand the keys back and found a last minute Grand Cherokee instead. Room to spare!
Got my money back when l pointed out the Alpha would be the equivalent to an X3. Certainly not an X5!

Is this B-tech spec the same as the ‘Nero Edizione’ in the UK? I’m tempted as an alternative to X3 or GLC and can overlook the lower interior quality issues in return for the current 5-3-5 warranty/servicing/roadside UK offer. Problem is, even living in SE England and driving a mix of roads and routes every week, I’ve still not seen one on the road. I did see one on a car ferry sailing past in Venice the other week though.

Yes indeed Alfa is lagging behind in offering full LED lamps, same for the Giulia. Adaptive Bi-Xenon is maximum. However - you also have to say that LED is not the holy grail. If you take a look at the real lighting power of lamps, it is not that LED always leads the other technologies. There are cars with weak LED which actually perform _worse_ than others with Xenon! In fact, you would need the exact lux / lx numbers for each headlight to really compare. But those are super hard to get from the manufacturers.

@@autogefuehl yes indeed, you are absolutely correct! However while I am driving on twisted B class British country road, I dont need to see 1mile upfront like with laser lights (did I made up this distance?) what I need is to see as far as I can, with a beam of light as wide as possible, without constant changes of brightes from hi- to low- beam (because that also forces your eyes to adapt to new condition). After driving new generation of cars (as my company rules force me to rent a car for every business trip) I cannot imagine to buy a new car without matrix/adaptive shadow/active leds technology. its a game changer for me.

Don Elmediterraneo 🤦🏻‍♂️ Old cars has this quality yes, in someways new Mercedes C class has quality issues also the E class has it. I like older cars that produced without having thougth of how much money goes on a every product. I think 50-60s and 90s cars has the best quality in a car industry.

Apparently you don't own one. As good as anything in it's class and it doesn't have a stupid "I Pad" pasted to the instrument panel that you have look over and around like the German "trucks".
