I’m new to backpacking and wondered if this pump has a universal connection, as I already own a sleeping pad. I really want something like this instead of pump bags. I can see storing my Sawyer water system and other things in it.
Thanks for watching! The Sea to Summit Jet Stream was compatible with most Sea to Summit sleeping pads at the time. However most manufacturers have their own proprietary inflate/deflate valves, and so the pump sacks aren't considered universal. It may be possible to inflate sleeping pads with another brand's pumpsack, but it all depends on the valve.
Nice pump
First time I get to see this.....Nice if it works for most pads...
Also stops moisture from your breath , which creates mould.
The mat is meant to go inside the pump. The pump doubles as the mats carry bag.
Great advise! Some Sea to Summit pads pack down small enough to fit inside of Jet Stream Pump Sack.
Backcountry Edge I’m not 100% sure the insulated mats will fit, but most non-insulated should.
Backcountry edge rocks!
Woohoo!
