    That's awesome. Love the old buildings. The mountains were beautiful. Great drone scenery. The only thing I'd be truly worried about is fuel. Thanks for taking us along.

      Thank you! There are no fuel stations between Coldfoot and Prudhoe Bay. Which is 240 miles of no services 😳 so that’s definitely a worry. But wiseman is about 15 minutes from Coldfoot so we were close to the next gas station. Thank you for following along on our travels 😃

    Hope you washed your vehicle off REALLY good down in Fairbanks! That mud has Calcium Chloride that we mix in the dirt and rocks to help hold the road together and keeps the dust down. I worked at Atigun and Sag DOT camps for several years maintaining that road.

      Is that why there was a hint of blue on the tires? There was rain for a few days after we got back to Fairbanks and went to Denali that washed everything away.

    Oh dear, you drove to Nolan! 🤦‍♀️ For future reference, they have a tendency to say hello with a bullet there...future tourists: don't drive to Nolan!

      Who lives in Nolan?

    • @amyrudolph1090
      @amyrudolph1090 Месяц назад +1

      @NickandJulie I taught school in Wiseman for a year and I've never been to Nolan. Because everybody told me, only the little kids are allowed to go up to Nolan without getting shot. It's an active gold claim up there (or was, in 2001 - i suppose things may have changed since then! 😆). But I wouldn't risk going up there - it's legal to shoot trespassers in Alaska!

      @@amyrudolph1090 wow good thing we didn’t go all the way there! I tried to find some info about it online and there’s nothing.

    Vast, not much potential for help, so better be prepared

      Yes exactly. This drive requires preparation for all the “what if” scenarios.
