Brilliant stuff. I always appreciate your “a lot with a little” approach to modular. That coupled with your human input just breathes so much life into these electronics. I’ve been enjoying the cassette very much too btw. Keep ‘em coming!
Great video! Are you a big fan of the Teenage Engineering EP-133 K.O. II? I see you use it very often. I have the original TE K.O. pocket operator, and have been interested in the EP-133 K.O. II, but when it first came out I heard it was very buggy. Is it a favorite drum/sample synth of yours? I've been curious to ask you. Thanks!
That's like asking which is better: beer or whisky? 😂 Obviously they're both great, Braids always seems rougher which is useful for certain sounds, but then Plaits has a few really interesting modes like particle noise. Also I'm obliged to point out that there's a fully polyphonic Braids clone in VCV now (called Nodi) as well as a couple of poly Plaits that have been around for a while (Pallete and Surge Twist VCO). I think I'll be having another look at Braids soon!
wait plaits has an arpeggiator???? gd I am totally underusing my beehive( plaits) clone! not to mention my beat step pro has been dormant for way too long
Braids is a museum, Plaits is more of the refined generalized ideas, under a sublime control scheme. Both have value, but Emillie Gillet knocked it out of the park with plaits

Maaaate, you keep pulling so much inspiration out of these two modules!
15k!! 🎉💫🥂🍾✨ Congratulations
Thank you!! ☺️
Delicious sounds as always.
Thank you! Your channel is fantastic.
Congrats on 15k!
Hi Ali,
Thanks for reminding me what a treasure that Plaits is. A fairly simple looking piece, like many modules, .. but much more there.
Very cool and informative comparison.
Lovely stuff! You made me want a Braids :)
Nice one Ali. I never tire of Plaits. Never touched a Braids.. Dual Dagger is amazing. Love what you do mate 👍

Only the nes engine in the orange bank has an arp. Its really fun tho
Wait, Plaits has an arpeggiator? I'm not a fan of the interface for Plaits, but seeing you jam with it has stopped me from selling my Plaits clone.
Round ONE
FIGHT!

Not at all relevant to the important question you pose here.. but I love your desk ❤
If braids and plaits were a couple what would their offspring be 🤓
I see what you did here 😏
Yes braids has internal envs 😅
There’s always one 🙄
@@TheUnperson what do you think that trig in is for? It’s not just for pluck. Can’t modify it with a nice shift function tho. Into the menu you go!
