- I absolutely love this tool set. I've bought so many smaller sets trying to be cheap, but this one checks ALMOST all of the boxes.
Nice . I bought a set just to keep in my car. Seems to have anything I'd need if I was stuck somewhere. I'm a professional auto tech and use Pittsburgh stuff with snap on and matco...they have a great warranty and the tools really aren't bad quality for the money.
Excellent set of tools, and one of the few sets that comes with actual screwdrivers, not a handle with multiple bits.
i got this set too but it looks so great in the box, i cant talk myself into using it, i keep reaching for my old tools that are already scratched up... so im thinking of just getting myself a 2nd set so i can use the first one lol
Yeah I sometimes grab my smaller sets if I know that I'm not going to need all the tools in this set but half the time I need another tool and end up lugging this tool set out as well. I wish it wasn't so heavy but of course more tools equal more weight.
This has to be the best set you can buy starting out hands down. I own two sets, therefore I don't have to transfer tools between shops. This set in particular has "it all". The set has about every reverse torques one would need, but the only thing that it is lacking is any triple square sockets. Idk best set on my name still.
I have had this kit for 4 yrs and have not broken anything yet!
I had the same problem with the smaller sockets coming loose while transporting the set. What I did was to glue the original, factory, foam pads to drawer liner material. That solved the problem of loose sockets AND kept those very light and flimsy foam pads from blowing away whenever I used the set.
I have 2 of these hf sets and my recommendation is get the tractor supply version its $89 to $130 depending on sales. And has lifetime warranty.
I like the box better on the tractor supply set but it lacks the larger sockets on the half inch ratchet and has a less quarter inch non deep wells. I do like the combination wrenches on the tractor supply set too. There really is no one size fits all tool set out there :(
Not a bad deal at all, I got the smaller flat pack on sale to toss in the truck as an emergency/travel set. Cardboard between layers is a good tip!

Duct-Tape those foam pieces to the cardboard cut outs, so it's one piece!
Good idea! I'm amazed I didn't think of that. I've chased the foam through the yard on multiple occasions.

That tool kit needs its tweaks as you can see but that is the best kit that’s out and you’ll save over $4000 worth of repairs yourself cars ,trucks And Motorcycle
I love this tool set and just use a film of WD-40 to prevent the rust.
Why don't you glue the foam to the cardboard so they don't fly away? I took the pins out of mine and stored the pins with the allen keys so I don't lose them then took each tray and they fit perfectly into my husky tool cabinet
Just the other day I decided to find all the missing tools from the box then I never put back lucky for me I'm not missing anything but we'll see as time goes on
@@davidgomez5116 I taped the foam to the cardboard per the advice of a previous commenter, it was a life changer. So far I've only lost one flathead screwdriver out of the set. I love this tool set. It makes not having a garage a little more bareable.

Yeah that is one of the few flaws with this kit, along with the omission of a telescoping magnet ;)
im super jealous that yours are all rust free and are all together.. gonna try your cardboard trick because it's ridiculous those sockets are all over the place
Just got this, some of the screwdrivers wont fit into its place correctly. Is that normal?
I have one flathead that doesn't lock in anymore because I forced the wrong size driver into the slot for a smaller one. If yours is not holding screwdrivers after you just bought it I would exchange it.

It been 6 years since I bought mine, but I remember on the back there was a photo with all the tools broken out and a list with quantities and sizes. So, in store would be the best place to look.
The 12 points are fore 12 point bolts

Review after 3 years.... 3 years of sitting on a table. These tools are still new.
The large silica packet helps keep the pliars and stuff from rusting up but trust me they've been used. Alternators, brakes, hubs, water heaters, atv and lawnmower repairs. Granted I am not a real "mechanic" but a real ASE certified mechanic hopefully buys better tools than myself.
@@striker1211 Just giving you a hard time. These tools look to be either new and not used.... Or just well taken care of. If they are as used as you say they are, then you take good care of them. Can't say anything bad about that. Good job. Also, just because a guy has some certifications, does not mean they know what they are doing. Trust me. And these days, as long as you have a decent set that won't brake a tool one a week... Most guys don't care. Snapon guys will make fun of anyone poor.

I threw away the cheap foam it came with and replaced it with the stuff you would put in tool box draws.

Do they have the spark plug sockets?
Yes both sizes, I used this kit for my lawn mower with the larger plug and my ATV with the smaller plug. Can't remember the sizes off hand.

Exactly :) I take it whenever we go camping with our old f-150. It comes in handy helping other campers too.

I wish they had put a hammer, vise grips, saw, tape measure, channel loc pliers, and safety glasses in that set. Oh and a ratcheting screwdriver handle.
You just abuse them smaking it on the ground no one does that to them
Sockets are great ratchets sucks throw them away and buy some better ones broke them right off the bat
