I personally don't like carbon fiber tripods. I'd choose a super heavy duty Manfrotto aluminum tripod and deal with the weight. On the other hand my Nightforce carbon fiber tripod annoyed me especially for $400 my aluminum Manfrotto is night and day rock solid. I've ordered a buffet of different brands of various aluminum tripods to compare and will keep the best ones I prefer to use regardless of cost. One of them inbound is a Promaster 525 Aluminum tripod that looks like a much more expensive priced version Chinese made tripod with different brand label of some other much cheaper brands (1/2 to 1/3 to 1/4 the cost) I have incoming as well.

Wow! The exact video I was looking for. I'm kinda surprised how few videos are online about the Chronicle compared to other staple tripods. How are you getting along with it these days?
Glad you liked it, sir! And I am still very much enjoying the tripod. I am using the short tabletop mode most of the time. I still hope it was less circumference, but overall amazing for studio work!

Just a personal preference if and when given a choice I prefer to buy products which carry an unlimited lifetime warranty rather than only one year limited warranty with proof of purchase receipt unless they can be purchased fir really dirt cheap especially if they're made in China anyway.
Well said! I think the way they keep this prices relatively affordable is the manufacturing. These do have some warranty, but not as easy to activate/avail.
