  • Cutting metal with a hacksaw is time consuming. I thought I'd try using the table saw, and share the results with you.

metal cutting saws have a lower RPM but more torque. This allows the metal and cutting disc to not overheat too quick (unless you're really ramming the saw down).

Try feeding from the other side with the blade rotation cutting on the down stroke.

Dude buy a cheap *ss > 4-1/2 in. 4.3 Amp Angle Grinder < then get some > 4-1/2 in. 40 Grit Metal Cut-off Wheel 10 Pc < blades. All for about 30 Dollars at Harbor Freight.
Very Thin fast cuts on all metals. Almost Fun.

Yeah, probably a much better idea. I just wanted to see if it worked.

@@BrianHilson Grinders are much less safe, and prone to breaking the blade much more.

What do you think, dangerous or not? Let me know in the comments. Thanks for watching, and take care!

Not as dangerous as sitting in a bath full of water and razor blades whilst trying to repair a plugged in and running toaster with no electrical training, tools or knowledge and hands covered in grease. What you done seems quite safe but then again I fixed my toaster no problem so what do I know about risk

maybe add a piece of wood that will keep the bar pushed down but and make it so u can adjust it to bigger sizes so the wood clamp would slide down to push down on the rod then tighten the clap so that the rod will not push up any more
