one of the best college lacrosse teams i’ve ever had the chance to watch
Yeah, pretty impressive. So much talent that played so well together. I haven't seen a team this dominant since 1990.
@@NoToBigBro the 2006 UVA team comes close, but this Terps team is the GOAT
@@vgt not even comparable tbh. ‘06 UVA didn’t have the benefit of 6th year seniors and a wide open transfer portal
@@vgt
lol. Sorry, nope. As much as I hate Syracuse, their 90 team was unstoppable.
This Terps team is excellent & close to, on par, or better than all the legendary undefeated teams of the tournament era... 79, 84, 05 Hopkins, 88 Syracuse, 76, 77 Cornell, 97 Princeton, 81, 82, 91 UNC, 06 UVA....
But 90 Syracuse was simply a bit above them all due to the offensive firepower.
@@NoToBigBro
only 1 team got to within 5 goals of 2006 UVA (Princeton lost by 1 goal to them)
6 teams got within 5 goals of this UM squad, 2 within 2 goals. Still damn impressive.
They are within a very elite 12 team undefeated club during the tournament era. Next step will be to see if they can establish an impressive -3 year (or longer) dynasty of back to back championships, or extended 3 straight, 3of 4, 4 of 5 etc type championship runs.
personally i think they drop off next year.
Cant lose players like Wisnauskas, Demaio & Puglise, Khan & Donville & not expect a downturn. But Tillman will do well recruiting & reloading for the following year.
STOP SHOWING ONLY GOALS. Cornell & Maryland defenses had literally over 20+ causes turnovers together and not a single one was showed….
I agree but it’s highlights and for casual fans they just want to see the goals
I agree tho can we get an extended highlights for the real ones? lol
This is just a concise 6 min video watch 25 min highlights if you really want
It might be difficult to decide which ones out of 20+ to show. There was one Maryland stop of Cornell that was shown.
Late in the game when Cornell was making its run, they had a goal disallowed for a crease violation. I believe that should have been included as that was a critical call. If Cornell could have pulled within 1 instead of 2, they might have had the momentum to press for the tying goal and force OT. I think that disallowed goal should have been included in the highlights, both because of its importance and also to show how far into the crease it occurred.
@@loissimmons109 that was a great call by the official. He clearly landed in the crease before the ball crossed the goaline.
W for the 18-0 team this season. Great comeback attempt for Cornell let’s go next season big red!
crazy to think Maryland in the last 15 years has come close to accomplishing an undefeated season what feels like 10 or 11 times
It is crazy to think....because what are you crazy? How can you say that & take it seriously?
Dude, kudos to this Maryland squad, they are a hell of a team & were great this year & last year & they deserve all the credit for that....but they were not even remotely close to an undefeated season even once in the last 22 years until last season(2021)....let alone even "feeling like" 10 or 11 times in the past 15 seasons.
Tillman is an awesome coach & he has totally turned the terps around & into perennial title contenders. They completely deserved the title... but seriously...
look at the facts:
Terps yearly record:
Cottle years
2000 - 11-5
2001- 13-3
2002- 9-4
2003- 12-4
2004- 13-3
2005- 11-6
2006- 12-5
2007- 10-6
---- Cutoff for "last 15 years" of your claim.
2008- 10-6
2009- 10-7
2010- 12-4
Tillman years start.
2011- 13-5
2012- 12-6
2013- 10-4
2014- 13-4
2015- 15-4
2016- 17-3
2017- 16-3 **** (champs)
2018- 14-4
2019- 12-5
2020- 5-1 ^^^ season cancelled/covid
2021- 15-1
2022- 18-0 **** (champs)
The fact is, they came close to an undefeated season once last year, 2021....& achieved it once this year, 2022.
Prior to 2020, they never lost less than 3 games in 20 years. Just look:
prior to 2020:
0 loss seasons - 0
1 loss seasons - 0
2 loss seasons - 0
3 loss seasons - 4
4 loss seasons - 7
5 loss seasons - 4
6 loss seasons - 4
7 loss seasons - 1
So tell me, honestly, in the past 22 years, when were the 10 to 11 times they were close...or did it ever "feel like" close? Other than the last two years?
That's 20 seasons with three or more losses.
16 seasons with 4 or more losses.
Like i said....all the credit in the world to them for their amazing accomplishment this year & for getting so close last year...but seriously dude check the record....cause you are way way off on the facts.

Thank you.
What is truly crazy is that 99 people actually agreed with the OP & are as ignorant as he is. 🙄
YES Maryland we the best!!!
We just gonna show like 1 out of like 18 saves MD’s goalie had? Cornell had some good defensive rides as well that would be dope to see in the highlights.
Terps shooting was pro level
At least the game was good, with the 2 best teams at the end of the season. Cornell gave them everything, but Maryland an all time great team, maybe the greatest.
Congratulations to the University of Maryland on your great year and your NCAA 🏆championship.
Greatest NCAA lacrosse team in history
Where the hell is the defense? Obviously who scores more wins, but who stops most goals also typically wins. Would be nice to see the other half of the game of lacrosse
Damn Cornell started their come back run a little too late. Marylands goalie made some big saves at the end too!
after a heatbreak last year we fought back and did it!
Yes, Maryland did it!
Very physical game. One of the toughest hitting collegiate games I've seen in quite a while.
CJ Kirst started torching man, one more quarter it would of been over with lol. Let’s gooo
Good argument...or one less quarter and it would have been an official ass kickin.
Bubba tosses it to the ref before the game is over LOL
It’s time to rethink the Final Four format.
Cornell played for 30 minutes, then rested for four hours and then played another 30 minutes.
Maryland had to play a full 60 minutes, long after the expected start time.
The championship game should be contested by two teams at their best, not by two teams who have had less that 48 hours to recover from their last game.
Start the tournament a week earlier.
Have the final four games a week before Memorial Day.
Then play the final between two well rested teams on Memorial Day.
That would be fair to both teams.
And lacrosse fans would enjoy a better final.
Yes!!!
I cannot believe we got a defensive highlight, great job
Dick Edell is smiling today.
Greatest lax team of all time
Maryland wasn't going to let this game get into a shootout, they just wanted to get a lead and then hold it but they should of scored a few more goals b4 going on defense and running down time
Give us the full replay
Hard defensive game _ Maryland offense played sloppy/tired but give Cornell credit _ Makar was pleading for O to pick it up but defense wins championships _ if not for Ace McNaney who knows what the outcome would have been? _ lets see what Tillman Tiffany the Ivy League and ACC can come up with next year !
what age group is this? new to lacrosse
Terps FTW,
Demaio showing up big for both Maryland and California, you love to see it after he had to miss his first championship as a redshirt. Kids going places frfr
Next season big red
Typical highlight reel shows only goals... Where are the big goalie saves.. a defensive yard sale... Some face off domination.!? So much going on and they're missing it all!
Maryland was just too good.
joey biden claimed after the game when he and cornpop played class of '94 (1894).that they used petrified buffalo gonads for the lax ball...
Fear the Turtle 🐢
it wasn't the best but it didn't have to be.
Mickey Mouse ring
only goals, really?
first
Boonie ass sport
