I don't know enough about it, but I shot this footage mid September a few years back. I'm pretty sure it's canola. Theyswath it into windrows after the flowers are gone and it has produced seeds. Then it dries in windrows until they combine it. Later on down the line the seeds are pressed to extract the oil.
@@miked9102 yeah i used to harvest about 1000 acres of it per year, and i was the guy in the swather cutting, this stuff just is way greener than its supposed to be when cutting but if you have frost coming you need to lay it down quickly
They have to cut it first. Then it dries. Then the combine. Modern agriculture is a multi step process requiring a variety of techniques and equipment. These machines require fuel and our current government is intent on paralyzing Canadian food producers. Even fertilizer will become contraband as our quest to destroy the food chain moves forward. Scenes like this will become history as we move into the new normal of lab grown food.
@@miked9102 true, and then people wonder why everything is becoming more and more expensive at an alarming rate... it's one big cycle... the government doesn't care about the people

@miked9102 That would be a disgrace, Mike. Imagine not allowing Canadians harvest those beautiful prairies.
