It's doing 4k at 60 to 80 at ultra and it's doing this with a lower power draw than it's predecessors. I think that's pretty good. I would cap 60 fps anyway. Steam deck has taught that more frames equals more power consumption haha I'm gonna save and get this card.
Just a fair opinion of mine, I needed a workstation plus gaming ( upgraded from 980M after 9 years ), so this card works well even with its bad overprice for 12GB VRAM. It still run 4k fine in most if not all games, if you could just live up to the fact lowering some unimportant setting or no Ray tracing for actual gameplay. It also run Workstation relate stuffs good enough ( around or little bit weaker than 3090 level base on my research ) But the biggest advantage is undervolting it, I tried Cyberpunk at 4k with just some setting focus on performance ( And no noticeable graphic change for me ), Having like 60 fps - 70 fps with 160W power draw and 56 Celsius max is a big win during summer for me :D Admittedly I would much prefer it to have at least $100 off since it is more suitable for 1440p than 2160p, but if you have Electrical bill problem, this is honestly a good enough deal in long term regard that. I don't know how future proof 12GB VRAM is, but since I don't always play high GPU demanding games so it doesn't trouble me enough, assume I could just lower the setting to play as well if I do Of course I am new to PC, so I probably can't see every single worse things about it lol.

when doing rdr2, always ride your horse in towns/saind denis. that way you can see that the gpu usage drops, which makes it not optimized. as to when you look at god of war, horizon 5, days gone and fc6, the gpu usage stays the same no matter what happens. the frames stay the same too, they might fluxuate +/- 5 frames but thats np. but in rdr2? bro you go into towns/cities and the gpu usage drops to 50 lol

The lower the resolution the more likely GPUs get bottlenecks. If you have a 240 hz monitor you might need something powerful to squeeze all of these frames out of this card. I'd personally go for i5 13600K.

Therefore, Zotac, Pny and gainward are far cheaper. The only difference across these GPUs are the cooling fans, that's where the biggest price difference is at. But the cheapest 4070ti by any of these 3rd party brands will perform just as well as the most expensive ones. There's no longer any real differences outside of coolers in GPU power, because Nvidia no longer lets 3rd party manufacturers to over tweak their boards and make them better and more powerful. It's the reason why EVGA left.

I just got mine 4070ti. My psu is 600w i5-12600k works just fine. I have only 2 fans (1 cpu fan + 1 exaust) no rgb crap, 2 nvme, 1 ssd sata and it's enough power to run anything 4k60 HDR gpu use 70-99% most games. I don't overclock cpu or gpu, just use throttlestop to manage cpu performance. Have another monitor 1080p144hz for fps games and runs everything max. Happy with this card

Playing at 4k CPU and RAM shouldn't make much of a difference. The 12600k is on a similar level of the 7600X so you should get the same performance anyway.
i still have 8700k and 32 gb of ddr 3200 mhz and i have the same results in most of these games with ray tracing. this card is awesome. 8700k is awesome. in starfield with dlss 3.5 mod i have 90+ fps @1440p (i choose it over 4k to gain more fps) any game i play @2k i am above 60 fps easly.

I just paired the 4070 TI with my 5600x and its been a great combo and I game in 4k. Not a hardcore Esports player but overall considering this card rolls with a 3090 I'm relatively happy with the performance. If it was 699 it would be a home run. But still better than anything I could have gotten prior to the 4000 series launch.
I just bought this card, to be delivered by the end of the week. For $800 it's a really good value for 4k gaming, considering the 3090 is still $400-500 more.
I dont understand how you were getting mid 30s fps on red dead in 4k. I get above 60 fps almost all the time on mine even in 5120x2160 it never drops below 38 fps and averages 48 fps for me on ultra with no dlss. Everything maxed. Using msaa is pointless in 4k.

4070 ti is roughly equal to 3090ti so it would be a slight upgrade, but once the 50 series drops maybe just wait for a cheap 4080 for 4k

With DLSS this is a solid 4k card!!
Even at native the 4K performance is very strong in most games. It's getting 60fps+ in most stuff at ultra settings.
