What a record haul, Harry! I was impressed with the promos, and that California Christmas bootleg. Every album shown I heard plenty of ooohs and aaahs! Thanks for sharing.

First off, Harry, I have to admit I did watch this video in two parts...but that's to be expected when you post it at 2 AM!
Second, that JAN & DEAN MEET BATMAN album cover is a hoot (showing my age there); and
Third, when are you converting your deck into an additional record roo...er, I mean, a family/guest room?

I think the Japanese Magical Mystery Tour is a Deagostini release.

I think that's correct but I'll have to google it to find out what it means. Thanks!

Deagostini did that for each release. The Japanese versions are also unique to Japan. I will be going to Japan this August. I plan on buying a few of thes Japanese Deagostinis. I have about half of the Italian releases. They sound pretty good.

3:19 MMT package: George showed a Japanese Red or Blue Beatles comp.edition with a book inside that I've never seen before, good find at a good price.
I wonder how many Beatles albums Japan gave this extra treatment to. Unfortunately I can't stand 2 out of the 3 ppl who might know, & I don't know the other fellow though he does seem very pleasant, whereas the other 2 did backing vocals on a 1972 O'Jays single.
Talking Beatles: Took me years to track down which magazine Lennon was reading in *HARD DAY'S NIGHT* hotel scene - - the one with the test tube graphic & pop headline visible on the back. It's *POP STAR PICTORIAL* large format British magazine, #2, 1963-64. Nothing profound in it; just a retro souvenir of the film that was printed before the film was.
A current magazine called *FURORE* from Holland identified the mag in a recent Beatles issue. FURORE has the best graphic design layout of any magazine I've ever seen, & superb research, so their Beatles special editions with the likes of Mark Lewisohn, are well worth finding. Price might be steep in the States though. I refer readers to *the Norman Maslov Public Library* .

since this MMT was marked #7 I'm assuming they did at least 7 titles? I respect your Beatles dedication, now I'll have to look for that magazine John was reading. Thanks for watching, appreciate it!

@@harrysmusicroom I'll try & show the front cover below, though these things often get deleted. It was published around December 1963 in UK. Lot of photos of Merseybeat bands & current pop singers, some color; gives a sense of UK '63; & has a Beatles cover - - but none of the articles have any substance. The article Lennon is reading in the film is a puff-piece on Gerry & the Pacemakers.
(Dutch magazine FURORE is the one to get for great photo-journalism on Beatles. If you go that route let me know before you buy anything - - many FURORE issues are only Dutch language.)
Only because it's shown in HDN did I buy POP STAR PICTORIAL #2. I got lucky at £10 total inc post. Let's see if I'm allowed to show the cover in a reply under this one....
