One RUclips guy I saw paid about $8k to his door all considered. Still cheaper than a comparable ez-go but starting to get pretty high up there in price.

If it could go 45-50 it would be truly practical around town because most town streets are 40-45 mph. Being stuck at barely 30 you will most definitely be holding up traffic. In its current form I cannot see it being practical on anything but farms and maybe to go a mile or two in all residential streets.

I live in a rural area and zip into local small towns, even opted for a proper tow hitch to pull a trailer for larger items such as 4x8 sheets of plywood etc. If traffic, just pull over to the side and they can pass by. The beauty is that the vehicle pays for itself in a few years just because of the not having to fork over 1000 bux every year to the insurance mafia, and it recharges with a simple solar panel for free.
If you want to put your truck into Low gear, then you’ll have to keep your door open because the door pocket will not allow you to move the lever down unless the door is open. Yea the Chinese really didn’t think that one through.

You can insure pretty much anything, but you don't have to insure these slow moving forms of transportation, the right to mobility. Range depends of your choice of battery pack, if you want longer range, pay more for a longer range pack, 1kw, 2kw, 3kw. 1kw gets you about 100 or so kilometres, etc.
