      Well you don’t repair batteries.. having lithium batteries that can be gouged when going over rocks is a pretty terrible design feature. lithium batteries not only present a fire hazard but can be explosive especially if exposed lithium from an impact or over heating comes in contact with water. Get lead batteries if you plan on using this even in light off-road scenarios.

      @@kylereese4822 absolutely, but people are ignorant when it comes to mechanical know how now. My great uncle can disassemble an international harvester but my brother can’t tighten a loose bike chain. It’s better to tell them to slap in a lead battery then fab a steel case. Plus efficiency/range in this application isnt really an issue.

      Except they don't bother to tell you that these are not street legal and never will be. I'm brand new to this channel as of today, and I'm going to block them because it's such a turnoff that they fail to mention this "minor detail." What difference does a 40 mile range make if you can only drive it around your yard?

    • @chadh3441
      @chadh3441 2 года назад +4

      It will all depend on the area regulations. We have golf cart communities all over Florida, and all that's required to have them street legal is to have headlights, taillights, and some form of brakelight. Mirrors and turn signals are optional I believe. It wouldn't hurt to check on the farm equipment regulations just for the hell of it, you might be able to get away with just having to hang a big orange triangle off the back of it. Worth a shot anyway.

Like most American companies this vehicle comes from China with a cost of $2,000 to $3,000 with air conditioning(verified), but as typically, the American marketers want to Jack that up at $10,000 to $15,000 and gouge the American public. Generally these vehicles are certified for off-road use only. It does not cost that much to import this vehicle and if it does you're doing something wrong.

    What i want to see is it being used as a truck, hauling firewood chainsaws and axes, in and out of the woods like a truck is supposed to!it looks nimble enough for getting into and out of tight places, but will it hold up!
    I have inspected these vehicles a few years ago in Indonesia, and their welds left little to be desired of, they sounded tinny a d looked unsafe at any speed, have they changed that much?
    The other issue i see is with it being electric, what is the life expectancy of the batteries, how long does it take to charge, and what will be the cost of replacement batteries?
    What i would like to see is the drivetrain and suspension because if nothing else it may be a feasible alternative to a JD Gator, Or Kubota side by side truckster!

      I am using a lawn tractor and small trailer to go deep into the woods to gather firewood then loading everything into my pickup to come out . It really limits what i can haul because the lawn tractor and trailer are on the back of the flatbed trailer with 1/3 load of wood, and the bed of the truck is loaded with firewood. So I don’t get more then a face cod of wood on any given day!
      I have looked at a “Gator and a Kubota “ but the price tag is a bit much right now, and can’t be driven 2 miles down our road to get into the woodlands, where as this might be able to!

      The 1.5 to 3k is just for the truck itself. Often times it doesn't even include the batteries, and then there's the cost of shipping it, the custom fees, the loading and unloading fees, the cost of having a truck deliver it to your home, not to mention you have to fill out the paper work perfectly otherwise you'll have to pay a bunch more fees. These guys who "over charge" cover all of those things for you and it's all included in the price. Also, the "pro model" that they're showing in this video is a mod they do themselves after the car arrives in the states. Frankly, if I was ordering one of these, I would go through one of these groups just to make sure everything was done right.
