  • In this video we take a look at moving the hop chamber back to create a good seal with the gearbox face. We will do this using rubber o rings or washers.
In this particular case we are trying to solve missfeeds with a new prowin hop chamber. However this method has given me good results if I have lost the spring on top of the hop chamber or if the chamber is loose.
This video is in addition to our regular videos and I hope its helpful to those of you with inconsistent shots or missfeeds when you've explored all other options.

Perfect timing, I started having misfeeding problems and I almost given up on trying to find the issue. I was just about ready to have a tech look at it. Great video

That's great. I will be really glad if this helps solve the problem. It doesn't always but I've found it can stop missfeeds when I can see no other reason. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Let me know if this solves the issue.

I tried to fit one of those hop up units into my Ares Amoeba AM-013 Honey Badger , had so many feeding issues that I had to go back to the original hop up unit , keep up the great content

Yeah, they are definitely picky. I've heard many bad experiences with them. I've found they can be picky with hop rubbers as well. For example G&G green is a no go in these but asg rubbers and prommy work fine. I'm sorry to hear it never worked out in the honey badger but they are still an awesome replica. I'm glad your enjoying the videos, thanks.

I know this is an old Vid but just purchased the prowin for a DE UTR45 the stock hop unit has a little cap that stabilizes the barrel followed by a spring pusher the newer prowin units also have a O ring that sits between hop up unit and gearbox making the seal very tight.

Thanks for watching, I hope you enjoyed the video. Thanks for that. The additional o ring sounds like an excellent inclusion by prowin. How are you finding the chamber? Is it working well? I know I've always found them to be good but there are a lot of mixed reviews floating about.

@rockbottomairsoft It's a solid Hop unit. No complaints they do mill the barrel hole bigger than the stock, probably only 1 mm difference, but you can feel the barrel (250mm Zcl 6.02 precision barrel) slides in the receiving hole a lot easier, maybe too easy. I'm using a maple leaf macaron with an Omega nub. I also put an additional O-ring between the barrel stabilizer cap and the spring to prevent the stabilizer from coming too loose, but I would recommend getting the stabilizer for anyone that purchases the prowin. The video was really good. Very informative and liked the presentation.

Thanks mate. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I would imagine with the barrel and fitment you've done that thing is shooting lasers😀.
