There's probably loads of little nuggets we've not included - if you want, you can send tips via email! (You can get it from our RUclips profile - it's not really for business enquiries!)
My name is Antonio Fernandes, which are the names Dancin' calls Ebisu and Goemon, respectively. This has always tripped me out, and the audience laughing makes it even more surreal. Would love to know if there was any reason they chose those names. They're the same names in the Japanese version. Anyway, I enjoyed the video, good on you for making it!
Thank you so much for putting this all together! While I was already aware of some of them (the healing springs, moving Impact's head, etc) now I'm tempted to give the game another playthrough and discover the rest.
Wow, I only knew a couple of these! Great stuff! And seeing this game with such a beautiful camera really makes me want a remake with smoothed out controls. This is my favorite N64 game by a mile, and more people need to give it a go
This game was an integral part of my childhood and I have re-played it so many times but I had NO IDEA about the hidden NPCs and salesman! That's so cool!
I noticed Ebisumaru chilling in the Zazen in last time I played. Also I remember seeing Congo's other bodyparts as a kid and always imagined an Impact battle against him.
Oh, there’s a weird floor glitch in Festival Village where there are unusual elevated bits of floor on the ground that are invisible. I kind of feel like it must spell out something in kanji
I remembered the Cat Eyes guy from when I was a kid, but I couldn't remember how to activate him. I eventually asked the speedrunning community for this game on a forum, and a year later someone got back to me with instructions. Childhood nostalgia achieved!!
The only other 'did you know' type of things would be all the cool little references to real places and historical figures in Japan. I visited the real sand dunes the game is likely referring to. Obviously I didn't know they existed when I was young playing this, and it was fun to make the connection. Also visited Dougo Onsen in Ehime which used to be Iyo (name in game).
Wow, I didn't know about the King Robot Congo. Of course, I remember seeing the hand going through the castle but the other body parts... paid no attention lol
As far as Sasuke not being affected by heat, drinking a hot beverage will actually help you to cool off :P He's just tackling the situation differently :P
This is an amazing video, thank you so much! This is one of my favourite games ever, I've played it SO many times but I only knew 5/18 facts you shared. Can't wait to meet those hidden NPCs for myself.
From what was being told in the japanese manual, Congo was supposed to be a defense robot of Oedo Castle. But since the Stage Beam hit the castle, it became stuck. Also, Koryuta appears in Ganbare Goemon 2, from Super Famicom. He is the dragon that appears in the dragon lake level. It's confirmed when you find him in Akufuku Village. I suggest you check out Ganbare Goemon 2 (SFC), since there's two translations of the game in the RHDN.
Hey! I am Goe, the spanish forum member of Goemon International! Thanks a lot, very great video. I must talk with Cateyes because I want the doll and Dharma in Goemon’s house. How did you the “closer look” in “Did you know 2: Restaurant clone”? Could you do without changing graphics? I’d like to see the Ebisumaru’s clone face, thanks!
For the closer look I basically ripped the scene straight from the N64 emulator and opened it in a 3D Software package. It's hard to get a proper shot as all the textures get corrupted when ripped. That said, I got better detail images for you: imgur.com/a/zShDUd9 (Spoiler: there is no face)
@@Jingleboy14 ok Thanks a lot!!! I love that video by the way. I love that game since I played it in 1999, I have completed it plenty of times and I have played later lot of GG games, but despite of that, I didn’t know anything about the pickpocket in Zazen Town, Maruyama and Cateyes. I feel sad because if that cheats would be in a Nintendo game, everyone would know. The cateyes cheat reminds me to Switch Link’s awakening decorating dolls you obtain in the crane game. Awww Konami did it before!!
Yeah there only appears to be 3 hidden NPC. Interestingly, 2 of them are listed in the Official Guidebooks - the Maruyama Easter egg isn't (which fuels the theory that it really was sneaked in there by the programmer)
I have tried like a billion times to get these damn NPCs to appear but it just doesn’t work. I press all the c buttons and a+b at exactly the same time but nothing happens. Maybe is has something to do with me using a DS4 instead? 😤
Konami just needs to give us another Ganbare Goemon already! I DON’T want stupid remakes/remasters. I for one, have beaten them all, from Famicom, to ps2, to the last “console” one on DS before they became pachi slots. 😢 So I personally just want to see a “new” one. Going back in time (especially for me) never does anything and for a franchise that’s been so “dead” for so long, a “remaster” of any older one (aka just playing what’s already been made, just “remastered”) just wouldn’t be that idk “wow” factor. It wouldn’t be 🤯 is all I’m saying. As it’s something I’ve already done, years ago, you’re just “updating” it. No thanks. I want an actual “NEW” ganbare goemon! This franchise deserves it. 😢
To my embarassment I knew everything except for Hidden NPCs and hidden door in Oedo castle. That's what you get for being a 5yr old kid and not understanding english. You grind this game upside down...

To me, Goemon is one of the few N64 titles that the graphics aged like fine wine. The low poly models in this game are so charming.

What the...hidden npc's...?! I had no idea! How would you even discover such a thing? Amazing!
海外の人がこうやってゴエモン取り上げて動画にしてくれてるのめちゃくちゃ嬉しい
I just have so much nostalgia for this game, thank you for this very specific youtube channel.

I Remembered playing the Impact running stage, and I managed to have Impact's head spin, and you can hear the audience giggling when you do it.
Wow this was so awesome! I really hope to see more of these videos in the future, especially one for Goemon's Great Adventure!
Uncle DGR?!! I didn't expect you here, since you haven't uploaded Goemon content since your Old College Days lol
@@killumiknight1201 Obviously my channel is mainly focused on Mario, but I absolutely LOVE the Goemon/Mystical Ninja games haha
Incredible Surprising Secrets. Some i know and not!
Its very Unique for a N64 of Goemon games. Its a Holy Grail to N64 fans!
This is great! Most underrated game of all time.

Me too ROFL for the Nintendo Switch.

I wonder if the Ebisu twin is intentional or just something the developer(s) accidentally put there and possibly forgot to fix it.
Oh, there’s a weird floor glitch in Festival Village where there are unusual elevated bits of floor on the ground that are invisible. I kind of feel like it must spell out something in kanji
This is one of my favorite games from the 90s, so I'm a little shocked that I never knew most of this stuff! Thank you for sharing! 🍡
I love the soundtrack to this game as a kid this needs a port or collection on every system
How on earth does this only have 2k views? This is utterly absurd. Such an interesting video! Thanks so much!
My favorite N64 game. What I would do to get a remaster of this masterpiece on the Switch.
Every now and then, this channel reappears in my notifications like a ninja. Awesome video!
I remembered the Cat Eyes guy from when I was a kid, but I couldn't remember how to activate him. I eventually asked the speedrunning community for this game on a forum, and a year later someone got back to me with instructions. Childhood nostalgia achieved!!
One of my favorite N64 games as a child. So many facts I didn't know about! Thank you for making this.
I've been a huge fan of this game for my whole life and I didn't know about most of these. Thanks for the video!
Love the Cat's Eye secret. Great video
Great video, I didn't know hardly any of these. One of my favorite games ever. Thanks!
Your channel is an underappreciated gift.
Not only very informative, but also a really well made video!
This is amazing. I think I missed all of these things and I played this game very often!

Haven’t finished the vid yet, but i hope you’s include the secret “Cat Eyes” man and the things he sells along with the 2 other sets of hidden NPCs
AYYYY
You guys are amazing putting up this video. I’m way late seeing it but holy moly it’s awesome! So many cool little details!
Seeing Congo's true form is amazing!
As far as Sasuke not being affected by heat, drinking a hot beverage will actually help you to cool off :P
He's just tackling the situation differently :P
I love this editing. :O
This is really good work! XD
Phenomenal video! Totally had no idea about any of those secret NPCs even after playing for all these years!
Another event i missed is the true reason for wisemans house being blown up. The witch tells sasuke.

👏👏👏 Amazing video! So many things I never knew before~ Impact should battle the full-size Congo!!
awseome ! i love it ! ^^
This is why I love this game so much
Awesome video I learned a lot
God this game is so charming.
This os the kind of content we need! Awesome
Super awesome video!
What power ups/side effects do you get when you get Goemon to become Super Goemon?
His attacks become stronger but he also takes more damage. He is also able to push metal blocks.
Thank you for this! Read about the hidden npcs years ago and always wondered about it, first time seeing it. I assume there aren't more than those 3?
Yeah there only appears to be 3 hidden NPC. Interestingly, 2 of them are listed in the Official Guidebooks - the Maruyama Easter egg isn't (which fuels the theory that it really was sneaked in there by the programmer)
I just watched a video where they said there are only 50k copies of this game. I'd bet lower sales hit the second game
thanks you so much i really lve this game
pretty cool stuff
Top work
Thanks!!!
Ummm ok, Ganbare Goemon RPG's, this is news to me...
Lit AF!!! 🔥🔥🔥
Yaaaaaaaaaaay!
