I Paid $1000+ to get Better at Valorant

I'm testing 4 different setups from super cheap (and half broken) to expensive, just to see how big the difference actually is in gameplay. Switching out the mouse, keyboard, mousepad, headphones and microphone. Enjoy the video!

for better aiming, you can use a good mousepad (and no, i'm not talking about a big mousepad, i'm talking about a good sliding surface), mouse skates and a sleeve to slide your arm

You need a rapid trigger keyboard for tac-shooters like Valorant or CS. It's a meaningful advantage. There are many videos explaining why this is. Don't take my word for it.

The biggest difference for me is mouse, you can play with subpar keyboard, headphones etc, but if you have decent mouse and big mousepad it goes a long way.

I suspect this would have been a fairer test if all of the setups were unfamiliar to you, as ofc your usual setup will perform better than any other, even one with equal cost, because of familiarity

I have the same issue with my current setup at 4:11, is it because of my mouse or my mousepad or both?

It could be the mouse sensor being bad quality or your mousepad might be dirty. If worst comes to worst it’s probably both.

probably a bad mosuse sensor, its called spinning out, it is a feature on office mice not built for gaming, i would recommend getting a decent $20-25 mouse from redragon

you should try one where you include the whole pc, so you'll get low frames and slow game.
