  • Thrice-cooked Beef by Janice De Belen
    Ingredients:
    -Beef (preferably Short Ribs)
    -Olive Oil
    -Spice Mix (This is a mixture of your favorite spices. May include Thyme, Rosemary, Mustard Seed, Salt, Pepper, Sugar, etc.)
    -Mushroom Soup Mix
    1. BOIL Beef in water sprinkled with a little salt. Make sure the beef is covered in water. Boil until tender (about an hour). You can also use a pressure cooker if you have one.
    2. Take beef out of cooking liquid (set the liquid aside). Rub beef with salt, pepper, some spice mix and olive oil. Marinate for about an hour.
    3. FRY Beef in oil until meat is brown on all sides.
    4. Put beef in baking dish.
    5. Put sliced mushrooms (any mushrooms will do). Sprinkle with pepper.
    6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit
    7. Cook the instant mushroom soup mix according to the package instructions using the beef broth/liquid (you may also use canned mushroom soup).
    8. Pour soup over the meat
    9. BAKE in oven for about 15 minutes
    10.Garnish and take a picture!
