Frank Turner, born in Meonstoke, UK, has been around since 2001, when he started being the vocalist of the hardcore band Million Dead. When they split in 2005, he started his solo career and released five albums to date. His last one, Tape Deck Heart, was a big hit, so that he finally gets the attention he deserves. We met him before a sold-out-show in Cologne. This song is called "Heart of the Continent", a cover song originally written and performed by John K. Samson on his solo record. He is usually the vocalist of the band The Weakerthans.
Exactly my point; he was born in Manama, raised in Meonstoke -- the post said he was born, NOT raised, in Meonstoke. I was simply pointing this out :) (Sorry if this comes off as rude, I just got back from seeing Frank at Leeds and am running on empty)
I might be wrong, but I think he uses the same tab as the original (which I've been trying to learn myself!) which someone has tabbed out on ultimate guitar tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/j/john_k_samson/heart_of_the_continent_tab.htm

I hate to quibble with you as this is a great video, but Frank was born in Manama, Bahrain :)
Jordan Grant Maybe there's a difference between born and raised? :)

Best ever surprise support act i ever did see, loved this guy ever since that magic night in 2009
Beautiful Frank... Just beautiful
I was at the public debut of this song @ the Gimli Alternative Folk Fest
This song is full of very specific references to Winnipeg landmarks
Somebody tab this? Been trying to work out the 'ghost filled parkas' guitar line for ages with no luck :/
