First of all I wanna thank you everyone for watching. Secondly, I wanna give an extra thanks to Andrew McCormack, who composed and created such emotional and fitting music to this short. I’m really proud of the work our team has put in to make this short film. We bumped into a lot of setbacks during the shoot. These included job schedule and unexpected events such as bad weather that led to very little and stressful shooting. Our biggest problem in the post production was to get rid of the awful background noise which, unfortunately, resulted in lower quality sound. And through various rendering errors, quality setbacks over 20 rendering and uploads to youtube and so on I finally managed to get it out. This film is as complex as you make it, if you dig deep, it has layers to it and many underlaying themes. I hope you will enjoy the film. // Kev
"Sometimes, life breaks you down, but in those moments, remember the people who hold your heart. It's in their laughter, their kindness, and their unwavering support that you find the pieces of yourself to build back up. They are the gentle reminder that you’re never truly alone."
Wow, what a fantastic short film! I genuinely enjoyed every minute of it. The scenic shots were absolutely stunning, capturing such beautiful, vivid moments that pulled me right into the story. The way you incorporated flashbacks added so much depth and emotion to the narrative, making each scene feel connected and meaningful. And the storytelling - it was top-notch! You really created a world that felt authentic and compelling, and the pacing kept me engaged from start to finish. You should be so proud of what you've accomplished here. Can't wait to see what you create next!
Cool short movie! I especially liked the concept and the composition of the shots. Also the way the music compliments the scenes, I think the sound engineering is very nice and crisp sounding too!
I just watched the film, and I was absolutely blown away! The storytelling was captivating, and the performances were outstanding. The cinematography was visually stunning, and the soundtrack perfectly complemented the story. It had the right mix of emotions and intensity that kept me engaged from start to finish. I highly recommend this film to anyone looking for a great cinematic experience!
This is the film to watch when you need some healing in your life. !!! SPOILERS !!! Let's break down and discuss a couple of things: First of all I want to discuss the idea of Robin being an angel. There are a few points to back up this claim. 1) In every scene he is appearing out of nowhere. In the scene where Will has his breakdown, the angel appears to "save him". 2) Will's thoughts while writing in his journal "I'm sure he was sent and that his purpose was to save me": 3) Robin just disappeared after Will had turned around his life. 4) Robin is a mirror to Will. Both of them has struggled with addiction. Both lost someone they loved in a terrible traumatic way. Both of them were ready to give up. 5) The angel quote in the end is the best point to strengthen this claim. Secondly I want to discuss some use of symbolism i the film: The two dreams right before the end scene 37:48. First we see a flower growing. This flower symbolizes Will as he is growing. The other dream is of his dead partner, which we see looking at him and then just walking away with a beautiful and dreamy landscape. This could symbolize how Will is ready to let go and that he will finally let go of her, watching her walk away. Lastly, right before the end scene we see Will checking his wristwatch. (5 : 55). This symbolizes the angel number 555 which stands for change and transformation which is what Will has gone through. I love the use of color in the office scenes, green-toxic almost matrix-like to symbolize the toxic environment which he is in. The music is excellently composed and fitting to the story, especially the scene where they are walking in the nature where the music gives you a sense of healing. Now to some bad stuff I noticed. There are a few plot holes such as Will not having anyone in his family to help him? where are his parents? siblings or even cousins? anyone? What about his dead partners family? How long has she been dead? The sound is not good. Some of the dialogues sounds very robotic and not genuine, not all of course. The use of background sounds and noises could be better too. Good short film 7/10 // Leosh
I think the film's title can refer to multiple things. It implies the loss of purpose which Will suffered. It could also imply to Robin's purpose which we got to know when we heard his life story. Will trying to find out who he is without his partner could be his purpose. I think the film is more about the chase and importance of a purpose rather than to define a definitive purpose. What do you think?
