Am Dutch and do the same. The jokes started with Arnold telling people see the US as beacon of freedom...how times have changed. Not that I in particular would have wanted to move. Depends where in the US, but very few countries offer more than just staying here. I do miss mountains though :)
Plus I like just driving less than 2 hours and be in Germany, 3 to France and 1 hour to Belgium. Or just take a ferry to the UK. I would miss so many cultures (obviouisly have those form immigrants as well) but between countries, building styles, language, traditions etc.

Born and raised there in the days of Bull Connor's attack dogs and church bombings and cross-burnings and so much more. I would love to visit the center one day, but I'm living in Europe for nearly 20 years and I may not ever visit Alabama again even if I repatriate. Unlikely, given that women, particularly those of color, are still actively discriminated against by the press. Hilary Clinton is certainly no saint, but the press engaged in decades of smearing her character, because she was actively attempting to bring Americans a better healthcare system, during her time as First Lady, instead of decorating the White House and planning little First Lady soirées. The press was certainly more kind to Michelle Obama, who wisely laid low and followed the First Lady playbook. Kamala Harris, as Vice President, doesn’t have that luxury.
It would be interesting to see what they think are her accomplishments.

This was amazing! It was moving, uplifting, full of great humor and deep truth. Roy Wood Jr. proved himself one of the best comic minds we’ve known. President Biden’s defense of a free press and his commitment to bringing home our falsely accused and wrongly imprisoned journalists around the world inspired me to believe that he will work to “finish the job” of strengthening our democracy and upholding justice.
