I feel lucky and blessed to have known Gino for a very brief period of time and having borrowed one of his kits from his music garage which was more like temple of musical instruments. He has elevated himself to such a phenomenal position - from listening to Shakti to playing with them. Not surprised though, he was always en route to musical greatness. So proud of him.

The most inspired playing I’ve heard from McLaughlin in a while. Gino Banks and Sheldon Dsilva were phenomenal.

There’s like 40 mics on the drums and literally one for the tabla
Because it's usually so, every single part of a drum requires mics while Tabla is mic'd using one mic. Sometimes Two mics are used but never more than that
