- World of tanks blitz has a new plague of light tanks coming through the ranks. With people progressing through the overpowered Luchs onwards and upwards to the much more subdued and delicate land of Tier 7 and 8.
Today we take a big look at the camo, mobility and spotting value these lights bring to the table and how you can best apply them to success and victory :)
For the purposes of this run we will be driving in the SP1C and the RU251. Two outstanding and much loved exponents of light tank play blessed with varying degrees of blinding pace and powerful counter punching.
So settle in and get to grips with one of the latest editions to the world of tanks lexicon. Light loving.

don't forget kv2. i still remember dealing 1k damage on 1 hit to a ru with kv2.
I was having an sweet game in my Dragon yesterday where I had 3K damage and five kills, and it came down to me versus an su-152 on canal.. I was full health still and searching for the SU.. I went around a corner of a building and he was facing right towards me and one shot me before I could even react.. I was unspotted, but he was lucky bc he was already facing right at me when I came around
+ddelvo 45 the kv2 is no longer what it used to be. w all these super fast tanks it's become very hard to hit something. i used to have 63% WR in it. after the new patch that figure went down the toilet. Also the gun seems to have been nerfed somehow. cromwells survive flank hits now. that is outrageous :(

+Bushka On Blitz yeah I guess we have the convenience of seeing your "good games" but honestly your win rate says something is going well.
If you ever get mad you can just bring out your KV-5 and go ramming people to death. Its my stress reliever, I just can't take that tank seriously enough to care.
gahahha if i get mad i go to the obj 140 or the T54 or the Ru251 or the comet or an is6 :) these are a few of my favorite things!

What ho, Bushka. Didn’t really pay any attention to Lights before I watched this, but it inspired me to try them, and now I absolutely love Lights, and pretty much only drive them now. I want to be as good as you ☺️ but with only a few less than 800 battles under m’belt, I reckon it might take a few years. Still, your tips are brilliant and helped me go from poor average to just average 😜 You’re vids also inspire me to think a bit. I was in too much of a hurry, playing at tiers i wasn’t ready for, but watching gameplay on your channel made me understand a few simple truths, and instead of spitting the dummy, and blaming everyone else, i put the brakes on and decided to try a bit of patience. +Hiraki Play its so nasty these days trying to keep you turret safe though. It turns big tanks like that into glorified turreted tds. It's why I love the e4 so much. If your going to be stuck doing that in a heavy why not so it with nearly 400 mm of avg pen
Thanks for the advice Bushka. Long time ago I have unlocked both is7 and is4 at same time but only have the credit to buy 1, so like most of us I decided to buy is7 because it looks way more intimidating and is4 look juz like a flattened IS...I'm now doing pretty well in E75 so E100 is still my target. Will definitely get is4 after that......
Bushka On Blitz Hi, bushka. Ration increase 10% crew mastery and vent increase 5% crew skill. So if i am already 100% crewed a tank, am i getting 100% + 10% + 5% crew skill? are they actually increase the same thing or?
What is the difference between crew mastery and crew skill,
yes but the 10% will actually increase stats by like 4.5% and the 5% by like 2.2%. Its just the way the game mechanic works.
Mastery is just the term to define 100% of crew skills which is as high as you can train them. The extra stuff comes from equipment / consumables.
lights r a real nightmare for others now, but its great for tds...

I had quite some stroke of luck. I was on the new map and turned to fight a T-44 trying to flank my IS-3 Defender. I shot down into his upper front glacis, and bounced. I thought it was going to be one of those games. Anyway, I rammed him for 66 damage. He attempted so circle me, which didn't work. My shot reloaded and I fired and ammo racked him. I then drove back up the central hill and immediately ammo racked the VK 28.01 on the enemy team as well. How to get 2.3k damage in two shots.
First time I've ever done more than one ammo rack in a game, let alone consecutive ammo racks.

bit meh. They are brilliant for people that want hte convenience of upgrading without using free exp. For everyone that has been playing ages though its far cheaper to just convert free exp
normally I would talk about tanks or say great job on the video. but this time, Bushka man just an FYI you should probably get a pop filter for that mic of yours. just a suggestion.

physically remove your tank from view for 10 seconds so that you drop off the radar

Also Bushka can you drop some knowledge on the use of HE rounds in RU 251 vs SP- 1C I see the HE has a much higher pen in the RU. Just tell me some usage tips on which round when?
+chogokin666 use HE whenever you can pen using HE. Thats the general rule. The RU has great pen on it so just about every american tank in the games butt can cop one.
The downside in the RU is the HE dmg is very underwhelming.

Another nice video bushka! Also, would it be better to play the STA-1 like you would the RU-251, or is it better to play the STA-1 like it is another regular medium tank? I have somewhat struggled in some games to know what to do in the STA-1, as it seems to be almost a hybrid of an RU-251 and a regular tier 8 medium.

+magical pineapple It's not terrible for brawling, usually you can use it's insane DPM to get you out of trouble, but if you can avoid it, certainly avoid brawling lol.

+magical pineapple STA-1 doesn't need premium rounds for killing T-44s, only needs them for T-54s and Type 59s
+craftysteve STA doesnt have the speed or the mobility to get through it played as an ru :(
The other issue your going to have and the reason you should probably play it more like the type 61 that follows it, is that it will get penned just about every time. Dont swap hps with tanks dont brawl unless you have to play at distance as much as possible and use the gun depression to not get hammered.
And let's not forget that you play from PC and you have a plus to mobility against mobile or tablet players :O

It depends.. But usually around 5 seconds is safe bet. As long as you're out of sight

The main reason I went up the fv4202 line was because of how sexy the tank looks, now we have the ru 152 and it is even more sexy, however I cannot stand the stock vk20.01 and I gave up.

+Frank Kelly slightly different. You can be more aggressive in a comet and hull down a fair bit and with the insane dpm coupled with 15* of gun depression you can make life a misery for ppl. You need to reset your camo behind hard cover and stick there though. Once your out and about your on the radar again

Great guide, however, works if you have solid team players. In a random match, I get 7 out of 10 matches utter noobs and no matter how good I am, driving light tank gets you pummeled....

How do I spot without dying? I play a Leo 1 and as soon as I see the enemy, they see me and just kill me. It never plays out like in your videos :( Same in Ru 251. I go look for them, they see me, gang bang.
I rage sold my RU.... I played it as an agressive scout and it gave me early deaths ._. Don't see how I can face off 2 t54/44 tanks in an enclosed map with this thing.

+magical pineapple Yeah Cuz you can get into the frontline with the Russian meds especially the T-54... I also made the Type 59 play style same with T-54 which I am so frustrated because Type 59 is not an agile tank which you can rape your enemies rof is too low etc... RU 251 is just like Medium Leopards PT and 1 never ever make the enemy put s shell on you because you got absolutely paper thin armor unless God gave you a miracle to some hoe bounce a shell off...
+Tirion Fordring Type 59 just hull the hell down and angle it constantly. Play it like a methodical heavy that just happens to be stuck in the body of a medium. it's agile enough to exploit heavy tanks and tds which is where it can make a killing.
+Bushka On Blitz Yeah Bushka I get it but its really not proper for that tank to just keep hull down that has slow rof.... Maybe I would be inlove to the other Medium prem tank such as the Pz 58 Mutz, Panther 8.8 or maybe the AMX CDC. In my opinion Type 59 is just basically a Super Pershing that just trade some of its riot shield armo to some speed... And its better gun depression to a low profile.

Hi Bushka I really struggle with the RU when i am one of the only tier 8 in the match. Gotta Carry the game for my teammates but the tank Has absolutely no armor.... Any tips?
no man fight, u need to rely on your lower tier tanks to scout because of your armour, prefer tier 7 tanks are with 250 view range and 260. if possible do scout run with auto aim to attack
+dagelijksleven2001 you spot and relocate amigo. Never be afraid to bail if you don't like how a situation looks and constantly abuse high speed full camo.
Himmelsdorf is like the worst map ever for these guys but just try to be near a big Dmg sponge
currently, I'm trying to grind out the XP for LTTB, and rn dont completely understand the camo mechanics completely. I get that it takes roughly 9.8 secs for the camo to completely reset, but why is it that at 4:26 bushka runs up the hill to reset, but right when he gets there he knows it's reset?
I have the VK 28.01 AND I used rammer,camo net,and i dont know if i should use coated optics or binocular telescope?

URIEL MERAS Camo reset means that the you will be unspotted again, and camo charges works after the battle

yeah cos its a rear mounted turret and you can drive into cover faster and evade fire
+Heeston Tee it's a good idea , as the sp ic has no armour to mention , it doesn't matter whether you expose you front or back , but module damage is a possibility once you expose your back .
this also gives you the opportunity to get out of hard situations easier , and I'm not sure about this, but I believe that the gun depression increases over the back ( correct me if I'm wrong )

Personally I find t7 the most profitable
+GENERAL,GO 0985 dont get hit much...so therefore you dont have to pay big repair bills and fire HE shells..so something thats derpy like an isu152 etc that wont have a lot of ammo costs or a big repair bill. Plus try to use cheap consumables.
