I’m surprised he stayed with the Halberd despite there being a stronger Two handed sword skill from the Pollux blood code in the ice DLC 550% > 509% woulda been easier one shots to go back to two handed
i've attempted my own true one shot (only one hit, no multi hit moves) and i've gotten to successor of the claw with a Judgement blade setup (argent king wolf was worse) despite it's low hp at "41,400" i've hit 67k damage before and was able to oneshot successor of the breath despite the huge defense difference, yet i could not one shot claw, makes me sad but i knew the run would die at either BB and C, Mido or Skull King anyway for a "true oneshot" run.
@@sakura368 tried that, doesn't work, it got to about 46k damage while Judgement blade got to 71k+ Remember this, you cannot add some buffed to the bayonet skills, so you miss out on a ton of damage + they dont get elemental damage buffed for bayonet skill attacks.

@@sakura368 well as someone who's done every DLC quest including all 3 Alpha and Omega (screw Frozen Queen) and over 3k hours play time, i can tell you for a fact i've thourghly tested rad barrel and other options to make 1 shot builds. Hell i devised a QueenSlayer build that gains +780% damage output (roughly) on a Blazing Claw Poison. the issue with rad Barrel is that it loses some key skills that are needed to 1 shot a lot of late game bosses, do the run for yourself and see. I'm not underwhelming rad barrel, it's a great skill with a careful build, but it just doesn't have the firepower for Base game OKKO. (+ it doesn't fit with my rules regardless as i disallowed any weapon skill attack) It does a lot of damage in the DLC bosses as many will stay at certain levels so the bosses take more damage from certain things as they directly get stat boosts based on the player's level (and most of our damage doesn't come from a ton of levels, as it' softcaps at about level 80/90) while base game doesn't (it still does slightly but not like how the DLC bosses work and the Depth towers do) There's reason why rad Barrel isn't good for Base game but is great for DLC bosses, but i truly advice doing a full NG+ OKKO run with it, it'll show reason why it's not as viable and also may help you improve a build for it anyway.
Access to the location and the trial will automatically begin(first time) after cleared the trial go back to a Mistle then comback to the location again. The trial flame should be there

I'm currently going through the cathedral for my second playthrough.(my first time playing a game twice) I played solo for a bit but for the bosses it just didn't happen so I improved immensely from my last playthrough but not so much as to go Solo (currently level 13)

the lord of thunder has a bayonet attack too strong even without a buff
