Honestly the only high end blush I will buy is Pat McGrath (on sale) because the formula is amazing. Otherwise, it's Milani, Essence, and Flower Beauty. Milani is amazing because they have fabulous cream, powder and baked formulas!
I try drugstore products first, and usually I can find something that works for me. One exception has been concealer. I've tried several, and I haven't found one that's light enough, works on my very dry and sensitive skin, and has enough pigment to cover my dark circles. Also, I prefer matte eye shadow, and most shades in drugstore brands are shimmers or glitters. The exceptions are the Ulta Beauty and the Sephora Collection store brands which do offer matte shades. So right now I'm using IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Undereye concealer, which I'd describe as mid priced. The product is very concentrated, and I only need to use the tiniest dab. Another issue is lipsticks. My lips are also sensitive, so I avoid lip products with flavor or fragrance. The only drugstore option I know of for me is the Revlon Super Lustrous bullet lipsticks. Fortunately, they come in a wide color range! But I'll admit to also buying the Urban Decay Vice bullet lipsticks and Clinique Almost Lipstick.
I unfollowed a girl last week because she started off humble and now her whole channel is able to buy a $69 dollar pallet even tho they have the last few $69 pallets. I'm too old and still have a frugal mentality from raising kids.
I am a drugstore chick, I have tried some high end alternatives and always go back to my drugstore faves. The Elf primer infused blushes and bronzer are holy grail status for me. I also love the Wet n Wild photo focus dewy foundation and their newish Niacinamide skin tint.
I am thoroughly confused with all the content and criticism around this elf release. First, why is every other creator claiming it is a dupe for the Patrick Ta, or the Urban Decay? Did elf say that it is their take on one of those or any? They created a shadow effect that is popular right now. That is what they, and most brands do. But other brands don't get accused of ripping off other products. Maybe if elf can create a good, similar product in the similar packaging we should be upset with the more expensive brands for ripping us off from our hard earned money!!!!! Also, these shadows can obviously be used many ways, all makeup can be. I believe that these shadows are intended to be used with a finger application or a wet, water or setting spray application. Using it with a brush, especially a fluffy one, is not giving it the full effect or impact it deserves. We know the application is a huge variable. I have never seen them used this way or look this way. I wish elf would just be appreciated for their wins and serving a market that needs more representation and supply. Other brands just do not get the same crap. We all get shown the trendy stuff and I personally refuse to spend money on those like that. I will spend more on a product that I think is unique or superior and imnovative. I want these elf shadows because I have been trying to find this exact effect and clear base products. Why pay more when you can have more or give more or just feel better about your purchases? People out here starving in every community!
hi kelly! a holy grail product for my lashes that fall down and never hold a curl: etude house lash primer before any mascara. it’s inexpensive and it’s a game changer!
Wearing Filty Rich (Fine as fleck) today and it’s gorgeous. I have all of them but this one is my favorite. Little bronzer in the crease and this one the lid, done ✅
I have 5 of the Elf lip liners and may end up getting the remaining shades because they are so affordable. I love the NYX Buttermelt Bronzer and blush. The only complaint I see about the buttermelt blushes are that they are super pigmented and a lot of the shades lean rich. However, I'm okay with it even as a pale person because I barely have to use any to get a great look, not to mention the shades will look fantastic on darker skin tones (of which there are not enough at the drugstore.).
I use my Nyx Buttermelt bronzer all the time. I also use my Milani cream bronzer as a contour since it's more on the cool side. I also have E.l.f. makeup brushes that I enjoy a lot. I even use some of them over my MAC set.
I'll for sure give the elf shadows a chance. I've never tried Urban Decay's Moondust shadows, so I don't have a preconceived notion about what the elf shadows should be like. That said, I might have to try the UD shadows at some point because I do like that scattered glitter look, ope.
I have been really wanting to try those eyeshadows from Elf. They look like such a one and done shadow or an amazing topper - but great option for the holidays.
I'm a gourmand woman, and I have been looking at Lemond Gourmand at Ulta. Thanks for talking about one, I feel better about trying one now. Also the ELF lip liners are so good! I love the Nyx buttermelt too. 😊
I have a bottle of Le Monde Gourmand Fleur de Blonde, and it really is good. And it lasts quite well on my dry, perfume eating skin. This one isn't a gourmand though; it's more of a sweet musky floral, specifically violet.
I love elf always cheeky and the bronzer of the same line forever sunkissed too. So glad you like them too, i was wondering why nobody talks about them anymore 😊
I got the Ulta mascara in a gift bag and I love it! Makes my lashes soooo long! The Elf lip liners are wonderful! Just put them in the freezer for fifteen minutes before you sharpen them. Love the NYX bronzers and blushes. I really enjoy all these drugstore cowboys!❤🤠
I love the elf fine as fleck shadows! (I've never tried the urban decay moon dust ones, so can't compare). One of my favorite foundations is the Milani conceal and perfect. That and the elf soft glam are my go to ones.
After seeing you suggest this the other day I used my NYX bronzer as a blonzer and I find I like it much better that way. It just doesn't have quite the right tone as a pure bronzer for me. Mine also came shattered from Ulta (I repressed it) so I think my brush picks up more than it should, which makes it a little tricky to use. But as a blonzer I think I like it best.
I have one of the Elf lipliners and one of the Nyx ones and prefer Elf. They're so good! Also, I have one shade of the Nyx Buttermelt blushes and also enjoy it! It blends so well. 😊
I recently got the confetti dorès from Le Monde Gourmand . I do like the confetti, but my favorite is Tres Pine, from Le Monde Gourmand. Every perfume I've tried from them smells great. Glad you like the confetti and want to try more!
Hi Kelly, thanks for the video! I don't use many high end products, so I can't compare them to drugstore. But I can tell you my drugstore favorites: Revlon Illuminance foundation, Maybelline Dream BB Fresh tinted moisturizer, L'Oreal True Match Super-Blendable blush, and Revlon Super Lustrous Lipsticks. I've been using those last 3 for many years. The Super-Blendable blush is a product I never hear anybody talk about, probably because it's an older product. But it really is good. I wish I could try the NYX Butta blush and the Milani Cheek Kiss blush, but they both have fragrance. If you're wondering what the fragrance is in the Milani blush, it's Punica Granatum Fruit Juice and Rosa Centifolia Flower Water. I might be able to use the E.l.f. Primer Infused Blush, but it has an ingredient called bambusa arundinacea juice that apparently is an exfoliant. Not sure if my very dry, sensitive skin can tolerate that. I hate it that brands put things like this in their products!
I’m so tempted by the elf eyeshadow and the nyx bronzer or blush, but I know myself and I hate using eyeshadow I just use highlighter instead, and I still have blushes and bronzers to use up!
Thank you for highlighting great drugstore products. Other than a few select high end foundations I think a lot of drugstore makeup equals or beats high end and you can’t beat the prices. I can’t wait to try the Ulta Eyelid Primer. Hope it works for me. I’ve been looking for a nude color pigmented eyelid primer to camouflage upper lid discoloration. A regular concealer covers but eyeshadows don’t apply well over it. I’ve tried the highly recommended MAC Paint Pot, but it was too cakey looking on my dry and hooded eyelids. I’ve yet to try the UD primer due to the price.
I loved the Item Beauty mascara and have missed it! Thanks for the recommendation! I'm close to being done with my current mascara and will check it out.
I exclusively use that ulta eyeshadow primer in that nude color. It holds my eyeshadow for 10-12 hours. When I take it off at the end of the day my eyeshadow still looks like it did in the morning when I leave the house. Nothing else I have tried works as well (even the same ulta product in white) and the price is great. You can also often pick it up on sale!
Omg pk I felt like I had discovered some kind of best kept secret with the $2 ELF lip liners. I reach for them over all but one other liner I have and they are such a steal.
I still need to try the NYX butter melt bronzer. It’s been on my wishlist since they came out. And ever since seeing you use the pink powders under your eyes, I have been using my hourglass ambient lighting blush in ethereal glow as an under eye powder because it’s too light to use as a blush and I’m currently trying to spend very little money on makeup so resisting the Kosas pink powder (I really want it though 😂)
I get why people want to find dupe. But this days i feel like brands teasing with us. They know we want inexpensive version of that product. Making packaging identical doesn't make that product dupe. doesnt have any similarities between "original" vs "dupe product" base on Formulation. after i quit to looking dupe products i reduce my shopping. i judgment both of them their own ways. like u said at that elf single eyeshadow. thank u fır making this videos they are healing my soul💖💖💖
I loveeee elf’s primer infused blushes 😍. Edit - I have the shade Always cheeky and my skintone is lighter-medium-ish ima try the lil hack you mentioned .
I find the physicians formula (in shade light and shade bronze) and elf primer infused bronzers not nearly as warm/orange! Or if you wait for a sale, the Sephora collection pressed bronzer is more neutral and the formula blends really well + buildable. I have an olive leaning cool skin tone so I fully empathize I found the nyx ones too warm on me as well 😭
How do you feel the Nyx bronzer compares to the flower beauty heatwave bronzer? I like sunrise since it is more cool toned. Curious if you’d tried it and if you think they are similar enough to just stick with one.
I dare you to try UDs big bush brow! I think it's miles better than the Nyx one. I find Nyx brow gel to be quite wet and messy to use. Ud gives perfect brows without a need to tidy afterwards with a spooly. Love u and your videos❤
My sister has a few of the Le Monde Gourmand perfumes, and they all smell delicious! I definitely recommend them! :) I have hooded eyes, so I always use an eye shadow primer or some kind of eye shadow stick to build my eye shadows on top of (unless I'm being lazy XD). I use the Milani one. I had the same tube for YEARS, but it started going off. I ended up getting the Milani one again, although I was eyeing the Ulta brand one as well. I mostly use drugstore, but I did invest in a Bare Minerals foundation since I only own one. I've been thinking about getting a mid-range price concealer, too, since the drugstore ones I've tried haven't gotten along with my skin (partially because I find shade-matching so difficult).
Kelly, I have to 100% agree with you, the E.L.F Primer infused Blushes and Bronzers get heavily overlooked and I think that is partly because mostly everyone is into the "dewy" & youthful (lit from within) look at the moment and the primer-infused line are all matte powder shades which may not appeal to some people. Since you mentioned brow products, I have been reaching more for the Ardell Brow Glue over my high-end brow gels that promise to laminate & seal my brows which more often than not, provide a very mediocre hold or start to flake throughout the day. I honestly think the Ulta Beauty & Sephora Collection brow pencils are rarely mentioned too, they're quite pigmented, not that waxy and most importantly affordable so one tends to not feel guilty about buying a brow pencil for $11-$12 vs ONE for $22-$24 that might last you 1 month. 🤓
I love the $2 liners not only because they're great but at that price I don't get as upset when I loose them (which for some reason I do-often) also I'll throw them in my cart a lot of times to get to free shipping amount. Many times I only need like.10 😂
I am more mid to high end makeup person. Drugstore just don’t work for my deep skin tone. Everything I have ever got from elf had to be discarded. They don’t perform well. Nyx created a brown blush and marketed it as a bronzer. The buttermelt blushes are too pigmented. You have to work hard to get rid of the clown look. L’Oréal is too expensive. A blush going for usd16. Can get addiction Tokyo blush for usd17 and they are perfection on my deep dark skin. I think the topic is very subjective.
I’ve noticed this and although drugstore brands have FINALLY started pushing towards adding darker skin options in complexion…sadly many PoC end up having to pay a higher price point for inclusivity :( drugstore still ends up having fewer options the darker or different your complexion + undertone. You may like LYS’ bronzer and blushes! It’s black owned and relatively affordable for a brand at sephora (if you know this ignore me ofc haha). I recced them to my fiancée whose got darker skin and it works with them beautifully. LYS definitely has the knowledge of varied undertones in darker skin by being black woman owned 🥺🫶
@ Tried the Lys bronzer and blushes. The Lys bronzer, strength blends into my skin and worthy is a tad too deep. They have added more shades but not sure I want to experiment further. The blushes are nice on my skin though.
I wanted to try that NYX brow gel but the price for a drugstore product annoyed me, so I bought the Essence one instead. It's pretty good, however, the brush is HORRIBLE! It's much too big for a brow gel, I have no idea why they didn't use the smaller brush used for their Make Me Brow gel. So I saved the small brush from an empty brow gel and use that instead. Seriously, the Thick & Wow brush is terrible, idk what the product developers were thinking.
I disagree with the elf single shadows. I had multiple shades and they were all gritty and dry. They each shade I could feel the gritty texture scratch my eyelids. The next day my eyelids were clearly puffy.
I like my foundations from the drugstore. Soft Glam I wore it today. Elf lip liners, L'Oreal brow gel. I could on but it's late, went for my first visit with the Radiologist that will be doing my radiation on my right breast. Milani lip oils 💞. I enjoyed your video, you look awesome.🍁🍂💀🎃🍁💯✔️❗
Kimchi translucent setting powder Elf always rosey powder blush Elf catching rays powder bronzer over milani spilling yea bronzer Loreal voluminous burgendy mascara and milani antigravity waterproof mascara Loreal age perfect tinted serum foundation with the spf 50 even tho im oily if i use a good pdimer setting powder and spray it works great looks beautiful and the milani mini in champagne problems and i use the colour pop deep brown eyeshadow stick with an angeled brush for my liner i tightline with a tiny little wing and use la girl lip liner in keep it spicey and nyx click stick in a mood i also use ami cole cream blush in dune under the elf always rosey but its high end but thats my everyday makeup routine lately the primer i use is one size oil sucker and i go back and fourth with setting spray one size and milani matte and i put a little pore filler primer on top of the oil sucker usually elf poreless og or smashbox photo finish
Please include pricing when you discuss products, yes I know it varies but helps get the general idea, if money wasn’t a factor, most wouldn’t be watching drugstore videos 😜
I’m wearing spill the tea rn!!! It’s doesn’t glide on it FLOATS ON AIR I barely use any and get so much color out. It’s like Virtual Reality!!! 🫦 I’m going to buy so many just for the hell of it!!!!!🎉🎉🎉🎉
I wish Nyx would come out with some desaturated colors in the Buttermelt blush formula.
Milani always has been a sleeper hit with their blushes across the board tbh I still use their baked blushes to this day 😂
I’ve been using their eyeshadow primer and it’s fantastic.
they were ahead of their time with the baked blushes
Honestly the only high end blush I will buy is Pat McGrath (on sale) because the formula is amazing. Otherwise, it's Milani, Essence, and Flower Beauty. Milani is amazing because they have fabulous cream, powder and baked formulas!

I'm a drugstore lady 🥰. Expensive brands have to REALLY grab my attention before getting my hard-earned cash 💸.
The only high end product I use is foundation. Everything else is drugstore
I’m the same!!!
I try drugstore products first, and usually I can find something that works for me. One exception has been concealer. I've tried several, and I haven't found one that's light enough, works on my very dry and sensitive skin, and has enough pigment to cover my dark circles.
I use only high-end foundations rest is drugstore.
I unfollowed a girl last week because she started off humble and now her whole channel is able to buy a $69 dollar pallet even tho they have the last few $69 pallets. I'm too old and still have a frugal mentality from raising kids.
The elf eyeshadow and packaging reminds me of Asian beauty eyeshadows. Their glitters are amazing. And most of ab makeup is super affordable.
I'm not a frequent commenter ever, but your makeup in this video is just oh so extra flattering on you. Beautiful!
I am a drugstore chick, I have tried some high end alternatives and always go back to my drugstore faves. The Elf primer infused blushes and bronzer are holy grail status for me. I also love the Wet n Wild photo focus dewy foundation and their newish Niacinamide skin tint.
100% on the NYX bronzer. ❤❤❤ I have so many high end and this one beats them all!
“Pinky Swear” is my holy grail lip liner shade. Can’t believe it’s $2 either.
Essence pure nude highlighter, elf halo glow loose powder, maybelline superstay skin tint. I totally agree about the Nyx buttermelt line!
That elf eyeshadow is heavenly
I am thoroughly confused with all the content and criticism around this elf release. First, why is every other creator claiming it is a dupe for the Patrick Ta, or the Urban Decay? Why pay more when you can have more or give more or just feel better about your purchases? People out here starving in every community!
Love the lip liners from elf, there are very creamy and long lasting . And the bronzer in butta cup is beautiful!! 💞
hi kelly! a holy grail product for my lashes that fall down and never hold a curl: etude house lash primer before any mascara. it’s inexpensive and it’s a game changer!
I was just binging your videos all night. I'm excited to be here for a brand new video for the first time.
I'm a high-end girlie, but I absolutely love the NYX "Lift and Snatch" brow pen and use it daily!
I had Anastasia Beverlyhills brow pen (double price) and had 2 times less quality than Nyx one!
Thank you! I'll consider 😊
Always love your drugstore content
I love the elf fine as fleck shadows! (I've never tried the urban decay moon dust ones, so can't compare). One of my favorite foundations is the Milani conceal and perfect. That and the elf soft glam are my go to ones.
I prefer metallic. So I might have to check out those shadows. ❤

I have the nyx blush and its very good. So pigmented.

You're probably never going to use them up. 😮
You NEED to try the Crème Vanille from the Le monde perfume brand! Mod Vanilla-esqe!
Is there a chance you’d ever bring back project pan videos? I enjoy watching your old project pan videos, and they inspire me to do my own every year
Thank you for your accurate descriptions, Kelly.
Love your look today
Thank you for highlighting great drugstore products. Other than a few select high end foundations I think a lot of drugstore makeup equals or beats high end and you can’t beat the prices. I can’t wait to try the Ulta Eyelid Primer. Hope it works for me. I’ve been looking for a nude color pigmented eyelid primer to camouflage upper lid discoloration. Those elf eyeshadow need a dense shader brush and for more impact use a spray or base
I saved this for future reference. Good work, as always.
Omg pk I felt like I had discovered some kind of best kept secret with the $2 ELF lip liners. I reach for them over all but one other liner I have and they are such a steal.
Love using my Elf Lash N Roll mascara. It is so good. I have it in black and brown
I still need to try the NYX butter melt bronzer. It’s been on my wishlist since they came out. I really like the Nyx brow gel! ❤
Your nails are sooo cool! I had to check the description box to see what they are.
Cute nails! The dashing diva peel and stick were the best I’ve tried
Great make up demo
Hi Kelly, what color of Nyx eyebrow gel do you use? Because I have your eyebrow color. Thanks and a hug from Chile 🥰
Great video 👍🏼
I get why people want to find dupe. But this days i feel like brands teasing with us. They know we want inexpensive version of that product. The Colourpop Super Shock Shadows are a better dupe for the UD & they are cruelty free & inexpensive!
Maybelline superlock brow "glue" - it's a clear gel and actually stops my eyebrow hairs from falling down, I was surprised it worked so well.
The Ulta eyeshadow primer is the best eyeshadow primer I’ve used, I was sad for a minute I thought it got discontinued from Ulta.
I loveeee elf’s primer infused blushes 😍. Edit - I have the shade Always cheeky and my skintone is lighter-medium-ish ima try the lil hack you mentioned .
I am so bummed about the nyx bronzer, it pulls so warm and orange on me 😢
I find the physicians formula (in shade light and shade bronze) and elf primer infused bronzers not nearly as warm/orange! @volsungs I'm definitely looking at the Sephora ones. I have the original blush in second chance and LOVE IT
I love seeing this before the Sephora sale ❤
If you get the chance, please try Hanalei’s bronzer. Their Lip Treatment too! Especially in the Sand color.
Black blouse ❤or sweater ❤
What do you set your eyeshadow primer with? Thanks! 😘

I got the pink one, and let me tell you… it was on my eyes for like 3 days😭
Fantastic
Hey Kelly, Did you ever do a video where you gave yourself thick eyebrows?
The s is silent in dorés for your perfume. French for the color gold
I'm early!! KELLY: you look fab, as always darling!! I hope you are doing well ❤️
Revolution eye brightener-and most other products you mentioned. 😅
Is online the only place to buy the perfume? I love your recommendations on perfumes - we like the same thing! Just want to buy it instead of ship!!
I love the $2 liners not only because they're great but at that price I don't get as upset when I loose them (which for some reason I do-often) also I'll throw them in my cart a lot of times to get to free shipping amount. Many times I only need like.10 😂
I wonder how the elf lip liners compare to the essence ones! Because the essence ones are pretty dry on me :/
The elf are way creamier than essence and last much longer too!
Im scared if theyve reformulated the Ulta eyeshadow primer with the new packaging..... Its my favorite and I'll be so upset if they did!
I have it and like it a lot. Don't think it's reformulated
@ thank goodness!!!
What shade do you like in the NYX butter bronzer?
Kelly has the Butta cup shade. It's beautiful, I love it too.
I like le Monde gourmand Fleur de Blonde, but I don’t know what makes it an eau de parfum. I would say it performs like a body spray
I stopped buying Benefit brow gel once I tried NYX! It's thickening my thin hair, so I don't even need to use a brow pencil.
Smells like a bday cake???? Say no more, sold 😂
😂😂😂💙
Love the hair!
I only own drugstore, but the buttermelt bronzer is indeed great!
I disagree with the elf single shadows. I had multiple shades and they were all gritty and dry. They each shade I could feel the gritty texture scratch my eyelids. The next day my eyelids were clearly puffy.
Any suggestions for another good eyeshadow primer? I don’t think we have ulta where I live
Elf has a decent one!
Milani
I like my foundations from the drugstore. Soft Glam I wore it today. Elf lip liners, L'Oreal brow gel. I could on but it's late, went for my first visit with the Radiologist that will be doing my radiation on my right breast. Milani lip oils 💞. I enjoyed your video, you look awesome.🍁🍂💀🎃🍁💯✔️❗

Please include pricing when you discuss products, yes I know it varies but helps get the general idea, if money wasn’t a factor, most wouldn’t be watching drugstore videos 😜
Are the ELF shadows claiming to be a dupe of Urban Decay?? No they arent . So take them for what they are .
