Hi, my name is Jen I am 44 and live in Connecticut with my husband and 8 year old son. I am a stay-at-home Mom and full-time RUclipsr with a degree in business with a focus in marketing. I have dry skin with some hyperpigmentation and fine lines. I love natural makeup looks but occasionally go outside my comfort zone a little bit. Thank you all for letting me know that the elf shadows are promoted as "toppers"...I must have missed that. 🤦♀On the website it does say that you can wear them alone or on top of another shadow, so it's a versatile product for sure! I should also mention that it held up much better than the Too Faced shadow...by the end of the day, the Too Faced one had migrated under my eyes but the elf one stayed put! 🙌

The Glass Shine lipsticks, yes! I'm trying to go back to my roots, my extreeeeemely old roots, and use more drugstore makeup. When I buy the prestige stuff, it's often no better than drugstore yet is 3x-10x the price, plus if I end up not liking it, the wasted money makes me feel so full of regrets. You're the best for showing us the drugstore products worth our hard-earned pennies, thanks! ❤❤❤
I keep finding the same thing Susan! It really doesn't pay to buy the high-end stuff, unless there's a certain color that speaks to me or something. But otherwise the formulas don't seem to be much better. ❤️🥰
I am leaning on use what I have and def so annoyed with Sephora when I do spend, they send products and then it's missing 2 out of 3 products in the oversize box! Ridiculous...plus had recent layoff . Looking new work - time for big change . Jen is excellent about options and giving discounts where she can. Truly a blessing

Jen you’re absolutely right about the bronzer application. It never made sense to me to apply bronzer underneath the cheekbone and both side of the forehead….! The way you applied it is the right way and it looks great!
Jen, I appreciate the time you take to routinely do comparisons between products. That way we can see what's new and also get good ideas reminding us of what we may already have and love, preventing over-buying. It's often nice to see the new products, but treat them as "eye candy" rather than purchase them. My old (black tube) Nude Illuminator is nearly gone; I see a replacement in my future now that it's back! 🔮 💕
I was randomly at Ulta to return something and I saw the new Elf blush colors. I grabbed the lilac one SO FAST 😂 I love purple blush and I had actually yet to try the camo blush because none of the colors were quite what I wanted. It's beautiful but you're right, a little goes a long way! I also got shade 2 in the bronzer, love it. I hadn't ever really used bronzer until recently because when I followed tutorials they would always suggest to put it where you'd put contour and it would just look like mud on my face. But since trying it in places the sun would naturally hit it's been a game changer. Now I love bronzer! I have dry skin so the cream and liquid bronzers are the best.
Didn't expect Revlon to bring the Shine lipsticks back. I don't really reach for them; they look pretty, but I don't enjoy the slippery texture. It feels like they will slip off and disappear any second. I have a similar experience with the Loreal balms, there's something about the thin, slippy texture, the boxy packaging & in Loreal's case the smell, that together make me want to never reach for the product. I gave those a chance for a week and they didn't grow on me, I'll give these a chance too. If not ill declutter all of them.

I am Pakistani and got the lilac blush from elf the other day and absolutely LOVE IT, it’s so good for my skin tone. I think the color will be good on all skin tones really, it looks amazing on you! ❤
As someone with light neutral skin tones (thyroid cancer / couldn't go in the sun this summer) I also ordered the lilac as soon as I saw it and adore it...basically your guess is proving true about a near universal shade :)

So happy they redid the Revlon High Shine Lipsticks, I used to wear them all the time, excited to try it. I am not a fan of the glitter shadows and topper formulas, I find that my eyes get more irritated when the shadow is more glitter than powder, so I'll stick with my satins and mattes. Thanks for going into details for each brand and their formulas, it does help with making decisions.

I really enjoy my Lilac cream blush from Elf. It looks much more purple on me. And it looks terrific with the grey eyeshadows I wear every day.
I was interested in the Elf shadows for my nieces for Christmas. We don't have children, so no daughters to teach about makeup. But my sisters always tell my nieces to ask me about makeup, since I've always loved it so much. Every time we go up to visit my youngest sister (your age 😊), her youngest (now 10) wants me to do her makeup. And I enjoy doing it.

@katieharris7219 I think I use Summer Dream, Birthday Girl, and Opal Gazed the most. The Starshow Shadow pots are also awesome from Moira, and I use Eureka and OMG the most out of the ones I have.

I would love to try the elf shadows. I usually prefer a sheer wash of colour so they look perfect for me. I recently purchased the Sheer Shine lipstick from the Sephora collection. It goes on with a hint of colour with the feel of a balm and a good amount of shine. I loved the one I had so much that I ordered two more in different shades today, while they are still at 30% off.

For mature eyes toppers are ideal; and they CAN be used on top of any mat underneath to make it pop. You always get a good buy with Elf. ALso, Revlon lipsticks are the best for the money both in color range and formulas - I have used them my entire life and have lots of them. Great video

I’d love to see you do a look with the elf Extra Terrestrial liquid eyeshadow! I like a soft wash of colour for everyday but I also love a pigmented eye too!

The elf shades are better as toppers to a matte nude eyeshadow. Also: to avoid glitter fallout, do your eyes first! Then a q-tip loaded with eye makeup remover for a quick clean-up.
I use both contour and bronzer and apply them in specific different areas, similar to your application. I tend to use a more obvious bronzer application in the summer.
I used to do the same thing! I just don't contour much anymore. :)

I'm glad to hear the elf liquid shadows are good. I like the sparkly ones, but I was worried the multi chromes would be patchy and fall short. I bet Revlon is testing the waters by only re-releasing a few lippie shades, but I'm still glad they're back!

I've been using the elf bronzer in fair for a few weeks and I LOVE it!! I'm going to try the fair light shade next now that I've seen the actual color. I also love the lilac blush shade too! I find the formula works best when I take the time to really work it into my brush ("priming the brush") from the back of my hand. Once all the pigment is gone from my hand, then I will apply to my face. It never gets out of control applying it that way like the Rare Beauty or other pigmented blushes can.
I also picked up a glass shine Lippie in Girly Swirly. It's wonderful and I'm so glad the formula is back! Rum Raisin and the mauve shades are next on my list! I am also going to look for those Revlon liners. I love that concept of using it anywhere on the face; plus, liners with brushes are the BEST ever!! ❤❤❤

I like the buttery metallics, bc I only have sight in one eye so I don't out glitter anywhere near my eyes. I would like to keep the only eye I have left as safe as possible. They sure are beautiful shadows though. May God bless 💙💙

I have the opposite issue as you, I'm so warm (with a bit of olive too ugh) that most stuff turns purple/gray lol! Your swatches and reviews are so great, it doesn't matter that we aren't the same undertone 🙌 the info is still so valuable!

Same here! It just seems to work especially if your skin doesn't have anything to really cover up. Those just brings some "life" back.

Hi Jenn! Idk how I missed this video, but was at Walgreens and saw a display of the new old Revlon shine balms. I have 1 or 2 from before and I was happy to see and started to pick through the display, then I remember seeing you post something about these returning so I didn’t buy any. I needed to come home get on RUclips and see if you had done a video on them yet and sure enough 2 weeks ago and I missed it! Oops! Anyway thanks for sharing. I am heading to the drugstore Tuesday for 1 or 2 and hope to find the new liners! Thanks again!

I'm glad revlon brought back the glass shines to the u.s. market! Fun fact, in México they were never discontinued, and I've felt so lucky haha! There are a few different shades here too, like toasting glasses, fire and ice, cherries in the snow AND the og revlon color, black cherry! This one is so beautiful, I think it would be very popular this time of the year :)
If I'm not mistaken Cherries in the Snow has been a shade in the US by Revlon for a while...just maybe a different type of lipstick? Anyone? Cheers!!!
