Something about the soft whistles his s' are definitely gives me ASMR. Glad to know others have found his mannerism very relaxing. He seems like a true soul at peace.
Were there really people who thought that he didn't do a good enough of a job playing Aragorn? If there were, I don't want to associate with that person.
Zach ary i think people dont necessarily think he played a good enough Aragorn whereas they thought he played an inaccurate Aragorn. In the books, Isildur’s heir wasn’t as modest or humble in the books. In the movie is depicts Aragorn has Incredibly magnanimous and humble. Hes a bit different from the book.
@@PittsburghSonido Agreed, however in my opinion, showing such a sense humility/humbleness and modesty sets a good example for the audience. Those are things much lacking in this world, so it doesn't hurt to be a good example. I feel like Tolkien would respect and or agree with that view based upon his own morality.
@@PittsburghSonido im not sure how well an overconfident Aragorn would translate to film, given our history as a human race regarding overconfident charismatic leadership, it may have subtly made the character less appealing to the masses if people could subconciously draw parallels between aragorn and some of the less savoury leaders in our collective history
@@PittsburghSonido To be honest, i enjoyed the movie version of Aragorn better, he was just a more enjoyable protagonist for me personally. Its not often dipicted in media, a male with no lusty vices or temper, Aragorn's fatal flaw in the movies was pretty much self doubt and i haven't seen that done as well in any other story than it is in the movies. I liked that he was relatibly kind and warm, but was still human in the sense that he didnt want the destiny given to him but rises to meet it anyways, understanding who he is isnt a bad thing. Its a very good lesson and i think it just personally resonated with me alot! I like the books more tbh, but movie Aragorn has my heart-😂
Sorry for the poor video quality, I couldn't find a better version. I like Viggo Mortensen a lot, also in Captain Fantastic, and I will upload more of him and his voice if you enjoyed this:)
Respect to him in all movies, and respect to you for continuing to upload all of these wonderful videos! Keep up the good tingly work, my slothy guy! (Captain Fantastic was THE SHIT😉)
@@MV-sn1kf Much better films than blockbusters Imo Eastern Promises, The road, a history of Violence, Appaloosa, Captain Fantastic, Green Book, a dangerous method, two faced of January.... You could even say the lord of the rings movies weren’t necessarily the best films of his career
I wish more people took a page from Viggo's work in modern day adaptations. Didn't read the book, but didn't use that ignorance as an excuse to stroke his ego and portray an unfaithful representation of the character. He respected the legacy better than many "Tolkien Scholars" have.
Amazing. Like he hasn’t read the books but he got a perfect Aragorn and frankly he worked out the foundation of it all which bunch of Tolkien fans certainly at the time didn’t grasp which was the Nordic influence. What a lucky pick up and understanding the foundation is crucial to getting down Tolkien.
He strikes me as unintelligent here, but perhaps that is ideal for ASMR. Laid-back Scandinavian, he is honest but boring. Like other LOTR actors, he seems to have little idea about the saga he is in.
@Martina Thing is he seems really well read here and he’s talking about the inspirations behind Tolkien’s world Idk how anyone could see this and think he was unintelligent
I do like that calm timbre of his voice.
Could listen to it all day
yes he has a great voice
hehe "timbre"...well said 👍
George: Is it timbre or tambre?
Jerry: I think it's tambre.
George: Why'd I think it was timbre?
Something about the soft whistles his s' are definitely gives me ASMR. Glad to know others have found his mannerism very relaxing. He seems like a true soul at peace.
I get asmr too when someone whistles while they're talking, Alastair Dickenson on the Antiques Roadshow is great for this.

Tony H While I understand your point about him being too humble in the film, wouldn’t that be due to bad writing rather than bad acting?

Yes please
he has such a calming voice
Great guy.
Should have played more major roles
I think he's not done yet ;)
the best ones usually don't unfortunately. The best ones do it from another place and source.
He may not have appeared in a lot of big block busters after LOTR, but he did play in some great movies. He cleary chooses his roles very carefully.

@@ruly8153 Yes, people who only know him from Lord of the Rings are definitely missing out
i wish he would actually record asmr. this man could whisper in my ear all day...
😂
He sounds like he was a pleasure to work with on this.
I've never heard anyone say a negative thing about him
He sounds like Robin Williams actually. I never noticed that before :)
I was looking to see if anyone else noticed this! I think the same thing.
Holy shit my dude.
Wait how is this possible
This dude could definitely take up the inspirational roles Robin played when he gets to that older age
oh my god I closed my eyes and listened and you’re so right!!! that’s so crazy, they have the same inflections
He really is aragorn.
Films with the kind of quality and hard work that the trilogy had dont come often, glad I got to watch then as a kid
Seems like being one of the best actors alive is just a day job to him
He and Alan Lee have great ASMR-triggering voices. I love listening to the commentary of the trilogy to hear them.
Lee Pace and Tom Hiddleston have a very calming voice as well, I would love to see you put some interviews of them in the future.
Isabel Bălan Lakota yeah when Lee Pace was in Joe McMillan, Super Salesman mode on Halt and Catch Fire he would set me off pretty well lol.
What do you call Lee Paces and Tom Hiddleston's baby? J.J Feild 😂
He really does lack any ego.
"you're going to get some negative feedback from them"
my Gucci, who? I will throw down on behalf of Viggo Mortensen
Intelligent actors with real talent and humanity make a big difference in the outcome of a movie
My nigga aragorn. Give this man another role
I really needed this
I wish more people took a page from Viggo's work in modern day adaptations.

That’s one strong opinion you have.
Now I can say I've been here since 900 subs
When you see someones name os some dracula shit like Virgo Mortenssen you expect an accent that isnt very American but here we are lol
He's Danish American
I think he was born in Denmark but moved quite a bit when he was young.
Great actor! Loved Green Book!
Great! Keep it up!
he's so young here, wow
idesofmars hes around 45 here
@@RZAJW he's 61 and he looks about 40... but he looks like he's 20 in this
@@capspotatoes I’d say more like 30.
Liv tyler voice is very calming and relaxing do one of her voice
This is why i searched up Viggo interview
My king.
Thank god they ended up casting him instead of the other guy(can’t remember his name)
Stewart Townsend
Absolutely perfect!
He's so amazing❤❤❤❤❤❤

He sounds like Geralt from The Witcher series
Like a young version
I'm pretty sure if they could get a hold of Viggo it would have been doing Geralts voice.
@Martina if the Witcher was made in the 00s then he'll be Geralt for sure
Speaking of LOTR, how about some Alan Lee videos? ;)
Man I know. I could listen to that guy talk about his sketching all day!
yeah Alan Lee has one of the best asmr aura's ever.
I remembered him from Young Guns 2 :)
THANK YOU
He is beautiful 🤩
Sounds and looks like younger robin Williams here wtf hahaha
Tingly
She almost fell asleep probably
I hear a tint of European accent in his voice, where is he from?
he's danish!! born in u.s though I think :")
TheOfficialPhoenixTV But he lived in Argentina since he was 2 years old
Europe.
He gives nothing away, we learn almost nothing from this interview.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
For Viggo ...
❤❤❤🔥🔥dang
“The truth is you’re going to get negative feedback”… wrong
Do you wear wigs?
He looks like rick grimes
Yeah he really does
didn’t he play phoebes fake gay husband on friends
No Steven Zahn

he is one of the wisest men on earth, one interview doesnt say who so is, u miss out on alot judging pple like this
