    I've been messing around with skate adjustments, trying cuff adjustments and different ways of lacing the boot, and I found that lacing up all the way and having my cuffs a bit tighter makes it much easier for me to do these heel/toe presses, just something to consider!

    That lemon drop entry looks useful, it does give you that little push, an injection of speed that makes it easier 👍🏻

    This is a very timely tutorial for those of us looking to add the "butter" to our repertoire. As always, your explanations and drills are unparalleled. The tip about the lemon entry is such a good insight and I can't wait to try it. Thank you!

    This is really great I've been struggling with these on the NR90. Do you generally find it to be harder on the 5 or 4 wheel frames?

    • @m17a4y

      Wondering the same, im on endless 90 (4x90) and im struggling a bit, especially with the heel press.

    • @Rendis-p7z
      @Rendis-p7z Год назад

      From slalom wheelings I can tell you that technically the longer the frame the harder it must be because physically it is harder to get front or back wheels under you center of gravity which you must do if you want to hold the press for more than a split second. That's also the reason why it would be very hard (maybe impossible) to do a front or a back one wheel on his skates.

    Hi, thank you for all the great videos. I have a question, but sorry for asking here. I recently found some videos of marsblades. I am 1.95m tall and I am wondering if these can improve my novice slides; parallel stop and magic slide. Much appreciated. Kind regards from a follower.

    Is that a *6* x80 frame? Where the hell did you find that? WHY so many wheels? Also, can you wizard and slalom on the same kinds of frames? Can you wizard on tri-skate frames with 110s or 125s? What the max wheelbase to foot size ratio for good freestyle slalom control/balance while still having the stability to wizard, urban skate, and drop in well?

    i'm currently on a winter break. but those long, costly 5-6 wheel wizard frames give me a bit of insecurity about picking powerslide next 3x100 to get some proper skates again in my late 30s. they're fast and turny for sure, and have broken in to a nice bit or rocker on hyper 84A wheels. i can do toe and heel rides for as long as my mometum lasts, and some clumsy spins an swivels, with those short 3 wheel frames. but that "stability" just isnt there, thati had on my ugly ass toto ghali pro medels back in the day.
    could somebody who tried both just explain the difference to me, please?
    those long frames look HARD to turns and swivel on, and heel/toe rides, but really hard to stumble with ... unless i'd try agressively pushing speed from crossovers in a sharp turn. those longs frames look terrifying in terms of wheel bite

    So toe presses are for when traveling backwards. That explains a lot. I spent all afternoon trying to do them going forwards and was wondering why they were so much harder than heel presses. Ha!

    • @rollforever85
      @rollforever85 10 месяцев назад

      You can do them forwards as well. Definitely easier to do backwards though imo
