Can you compare it with Tiguan Allspace R-line? I understand its 7 seaters but its more like tad longer 5 seaters with bigger boot and excellent engine & drivetrain for sub 220k SUV.

Hmmm... I think, if people are complaining about its price. They must not see it's value. In which I think, this falls on UMV Toyota specs for this vehicle. I won't expect a break neck speed on this vehicle, although there are variant like RAV4 prime that sprint 0-100 under 6 sec. I do think, that it should come by with 4WD as to differentiate this offering than the others offering in Toyota SUV line up. I might be wrong in this, but maybe Toyota can advertise this vehicle water wading capabilities in urban environment like the flash flood that is very frequent in KL. Might made this vehicle look more robust and able to offer something that only a Toyota can do better, at that price range. You could say that might be its unique selling proposition.

Seems like a decent chill car! Seat/Cupra Ateca, Subaru Forester, Kia Stonic or Skoda Kodiaq as my future car, oh yeah forgot the Volvo XC-60 or 90. I'm thinking Security features first and then ofc seating and then sound. What would be your favorites or how would you rate these? If I got the cash, def a G-wagon or E class suv with brown leather/cappucino seats!

Simply against all competition in Malaysia, it is way overpriced for what is expected a C-seg SUV (due to tax) and does not have the luxuries of a RM200k SUV. Hate it or not, this is really how the Malaysian market works.
Get competitive or get tossed out immediately.

  • @laitecksiong7303

Its basically an old model, price inflated by our taxation as a CBU and the AP, as this (old) RAV 4 is concerned. Others are already driving the newer RAV Hybrid and the newest, PRIME. That's why you review of this car is only a so so especially with the features.

      @@jackeytam7700 ,
Hello this is a matter of personal or many other people opinions regarding the questionable type of Toyota reliability being brag ,. It is reliable because of easy access to car spare parts availability or Toyota still using same dinosaur engines to ensure no serious breakdown or Toyota worn out parts can be stretch significantly higher mileage before needing replacement compare to other brands .
FYI,Toyota can never be reliable if the servicing and replacement parts for worn out parts are not there. This is to say most car brands nowadays are reliable if given proper care and servicing .
Even When you trash a Toyota , the life span of 15 years can be reduced to even five years
So reliability always remain a questionable factor even for Toyota.
We are not echoing car reviewers mouth on Toyota reliability but we always want to get to the bottom as whether Toyota is that reliable as the reviewers brag . I only believe on honest reviewers and not paid reviewers . What about Toyota safety , driveability and performance issues ? Are there any good?
FYI , I employed people and make my employers knowledgeable, productive and happy whenever possible comes a rewarding career.
I feel you are one of those naive dead wood person with a sour red face when we criticise Toyota car brand . Do you work for your boss , Akio Toyoda?
      Please get a life then.

I swear that if 1 dollar is collected each time a Malaysian reviewer tries to praise Toyota TNGA platform to offset its hefty price,we could have open a 4th national car brand by now. Just get on with the TNGA platform.I have test drive it .Toyota(not the UMW) is goin towards the mazda trail but by selling cheaper grade at a hefty price.Deny all u want but its the truth.
