@@probablywrong8538 because they use the same parts on multiple different models/trims and some have different features, so to save money they put blanks on ones that don't have a purpose.
He's not the only one who hates it. We are talking about such expensive German cars having so many of those looking very ugly. Totally unacceptable in the highest version of a model but IMO in any luxury or expensive car, no matter the version. My friends base model Boxster really sucks for this fact, all the central console full of blanc switches.

If I want a utility vehicle it won't be covered In soft surfaces on the interior and if I want a sports car the roof line would be 15 inches closer to the ground. At $200k there is absolutely no reason to purchase this thing other than to shit money down the depreciation hole. My GT4 is not confused about the purpose it serves. This is a lesson in how to turn $200k into $70k in 5 years.

Fortunately fabric is more breathable so much less of a need for it.

It's probably because of the light weight sport package at $13000 which includes the hounds tooth cloth seat. If you don't get the 70lbs weight saving package you will get the ventilated seats. Another example of Porsche asking you to pay more for less.
@@putrid_swamp_juice because removing 70lbs from a 5600lb car makes a world of difference. That's why I love Porsh.
The houndstooth inserts get rid of the ventilated seats. Even if you get the sport design pkg and ventilated seats and full leather it will still be cheaper than the lightweight package. Lightweight pkg sounds good in theory. Better used on the standard turbo or the upcoming GTS which will be lighter than both.
My 08 Lexus has cooled seats. Land Rover, Porsche, etc are scammers when it comes to features like that

I too disagree with Doug on the color. I love the Lava Orange w/ the Acid Green calipers. It’s a gorgeous vehicle. I’d like to see a Cayman in that combo too.
