I remember working at a daycare in Sugarland Tx in 2016 and there were a lot of violations there.
There were children being abused by teachers, mold in the kitchen, overworked teachers and licensing being called a lot because parents claimed that their child was abused by a teacher.
One child in the after school class was very skinny, had messed up hair, clothes didn’t match and smelled. I caught her eating out of the trash and dust pan, I gave her 2 slices of pizza 🍕 and then gave her mine. After 4 slices of pizza 🍕 she was still hungry. I asked the teacher why does she look and act like that. The teachers responded by saying that the child was neglected at home and that the parents don’t feed her and my response was, you didn’t report this to the owner that could call CPS and she said No she’s fine and there’s nothing wrong about it. I immediately reported the situation to the owner and she said No we’re not going to say anything to CPS because we need their money. I told her that the child is being abused and all you care about is the money, again she didn’t care and it was all about the $ for her.
Every parent should always worry about their children going to school but you should always try to trust the children and the teachers.

In cases like this, find their boss and go higher.
I once worked as a CNA. Client had a condition that made her eat things that were not food, medications were improperly administered. I was sent to training with others for an increase in pay. We all reported what happened to the staff training us because it fell on deaf ears with all the other bosses. Less than 2 weeks and the facility was shut down. Totally worth it and we all quickly found another job. Never regret helping those in need. I pray someone risks their job by reporting what happened here.

The fact that the school's statement is "no evidence has been found of wrongdoing" (eg "we haven't been caught ") instead of "we're horrifed that a child has been harmed and will work hard to find out what happened, because a very vulnerable child is at risk - whether here, at home, or somewhere in between" says it all. No integrity, no compassion, just backside-covering.
They don't care about the child, they care about not being sued. People with that mentality are in the school system, but they have no right to be there. Disgusting behaviour.
