Very nice! For more detail on the types of cuts he uses with a little bit better camera angle, look for his 1 hour plus presentation to the Nor-Cal group. He mentions this free edge bowl in that other video and tells the group that he will demonstrate his technique without stopping to talk. The two videos really go together and give the full context. The other video is called "David Ellsworth bowl turning tips."

A master in action. Would be nice to see the second screen superimposed into a corner of the main view. That said, invaluable insights gained by watching Dave using his signature gouge. Thank you for sharing this special occasion for all of us aspiring turners.

When turning a green bowl as thin as this, how do you stop the warping?

Ellsworth - 12 minutes to turn a bowl.
    Me - 5 days if I'm lucky.

Always excellent information. Too bad you can’t see what he’s doing.

Great demo but the camera work sucked.

A great master' demonstration is always pleasant to see. But it's a shame that we can see nothing about the work. (The bad definition of picture, the sound, the angle of camera angle make a big loss, the video looks to be from the eighties). and for a not English speaker it is not possible to understand David Ellsworth's comment. However I vote 👍 for the wood turner, not for the cameraman. 🤣😛
