What about people that have family that came from Germany (gGrandpa), but he naturalized in the US correctly, which means I do not qualify for citizenship by descent. I have to do it the old fashioned way, or the long way. Your link for Migrando seems to be for people currently in Germany. What if you are not yet?
Hahaha 💛 I feel you! You’ll get there, you will! For me I just needed a bit of liquid courage and force (sitting at a table full of Germans who don’t speak English 3 nights a week definitely did it for me 😂)
My aktenzeichen is dated June 2024. I’ll be very shocked if it gets approved in 2025. It will more than likely be middle to end of 2026. I wonder how they’re going to handle the situation moving forward as applications will keep piling up if they do nothing.
Nice video! Honestly, if you have a German spouse I do not think that anyone can refuse to give you permanent residency or citizenship. These regulations can be for people who came from Africa or Asia looking for the benefits.
Originally, there was no dual citizenship in Germany. To acquire German citizenship, you had to give up the other one. Only the pressure of so many Franco-German couples made that originally possible that EU citizens might get a dual citizenship. This was gradually expanded to non-EU citizens, like we have now.
I mean… if documents are missing from your application, they’ll let you know and keep you in the pile of applications… but typically as soon as they require more info from you, your application goes back to the bottom of the pile 🙈 so I don’t think it helps much
The federal elections are highly likely to be set for February 2025 due to the coalition breaking down earlier this month. We are about to know what CDU will do with dual citizenship much earlier since they are getting the highest percentage on surveys. So far, they say this is one of the things they want to change. Another point to consider is you must meet requirements not only on the day of application but on the day of receiving certification as well. This means if they change the law, you must meet the requirements of the new law when you get the certificate. Who knows whether they will keep dual citizenship or not.
@@lifeingermany_The election in February 2025 is the federal election. It has been moved forward because of the breakdown of the traffic light coalition. Forget September.
Can YOU get dual citizenship here in Germany?
Find out if you’re eligible here ➡ go.migrando.de/vt0zfWn
❤
Can you share the process to apply for citizenship for children who have taken their Abitur here, before joining university.
OMG I am from US. Moving for health (not politics) . I was told I was TOO OLD for one visa and TOO broke for a student visa wtf.
I guess the question is, if AFD does gain influence, does one really want to stay.

Hopefully, they have a relaxed stance against language skills. At this point, I'm not sure I can ever get past the Special Olympics skill tier.

oh yeah cause only us Asians and Africans look for benefits ;)
what other documents did they requrst from you that slowed the process by a month? thanks!!
If you’re already in the queue, does that keep you safe?
I wish I knew too 😣💛 I think it would all depend on which city and how fast the laws change
Is it possible to be in the queue prior to being fully eligible?
No
lol no

If the CDU or God helps us the AfD comes into government, the law allowing dual citizenship for at least non EU citizens will be scrapped.
